It seems the Government has been treating her like an Australian resident/citizen all these years.
Let's hope the Migration Agent can argue that the Government has been making mistakes about her residency all these years and should atone for their mistakes.
Those are the rules I'm afraid. I just wish they would give us a warning before our points are due to expire; but I'm sure Qantas will take every opportunity to annul our points.
Despite Bill Shorten's warnings, it seems that only a small proportion of the scammers get caught, and it costs thousands of dollars to track them down, so the odds for a scammer are still pretty good.
These massive multi-million dollar lotto prizes are ridiculous. It would be far better to reduce the number of numbers needed to win so that many more people might win a more modest but still substantial prize.
People need to understand that the bigger the prize, the less chance of winning...
Chris Bowen is cherry-picking the benefits of this programme. If we look at the full lifetime costs of owning such a vehicle, its a very different story:
cost of the new vehicle;
cost of replacing the new engine or batteries at end of life;
cost of upgrading the grid to handle the demand on...
I haven't heard anybody complain about young children in supermarket trolleys, potentially with bare feet, unwashed hands, wet nappies, coughs and sniffles, noses wiped with fingers. Give me a cat anytime.
I have moved house many times, many of them international, and watched how thoroughly my belongings were wrapped by the packers. That's what we need to do when sending by mail. I don't recall ever having a breakage. Writing 'fragile' on the package isn't good enough.

If I was a teacher I wouldn't want my students having access to a phone in the classroom; perhaps sneaking a look at it or texting each other from under the desk.

Why are so many people so quick to malign Booking.com?
It is absolutely NOT their fault that scammers somewhere in the world are cloning their website for malicious purposes. The same thing could happen to any of the booking agencies that we use.
Also, how many times do we have to spell it out...
If the local post office can provide the same service as a bank branch, then why is that a problem? It's the same service, just a different building and different livery.
Everything we can do to keep the post office in business is important.
