This parking behaviour has sparked outrage–could it be happening near you?

I hope they checked that the disability permit was actually his. So many people 'borrow' somebody else's permit then use it for their own advantage.

‘Lip-service won’t fix the air we breathe’: Frustration grows over pollution fears

I can't see that the air quality would be any worse than idling along in heavy traffic on a major road in almost any big city. People rarely complain about the air quality in those situations, they just join the fray.

Smart or deceiving? Look at this cafe's trick to 'lure' customers in!

I am surprised the authorities allow these signs which seem to be proliferating. It is an amusing attraction for the premises but could be a distraction for drivers as they read it and spend valuable seconds understanding it.

'What the h*** is that?': Drivers share their confusion over bustling city's road signs!

If somebody from Melbourne is confused, it must be really confusing.

'My neighbour's rubbish spills over to my driveway... so I kicked it back to their side'

An appropriate response is to make a polite request to change her ways a couple of times. If that doesn't work I think you have every right to simply push the bin and any spilled contents across the boundary onto her property.

Would you call your mum an ‘inseminated person’? New proposal sparks debate

I have been surprised at how many people in this country are supporters of Trump and how they wish somebody like him would govern this country, so a lot of people here seem to wish that such American BS would come here!!!

Aussie homeowner cops $600 power bill hike after neighbour’s backyard decision

Getting the solar panels moved to the roof of the house would be a peaceful option. Exposing some of the roots on your side of the fence and poisoning them would be a more contentious option. I'm not sure how the law would view that but you could easily ask somebody. I believe that cutting the...

Customer fights for his rights after experiencing $12K fraud: 'It was shocking'

Sorry Wayneo, I never meant to be disagreeable. I made my comments in the hope that onlookers may learn something, understand and improve their own security. I've been scammed myself in a small way so I'm very careful not to let it happen again.

Customer fights for his rights after experiencing $12K fraud: 'It was shocking'

I don't think that's true. Scammers can only obtain information that is available on the www. They will go for the easy pickings. I can't believe they'll spend their time searching for information from somebody who doesn't have an internet existence, and their algorithms won't pick them up...

Customer fights for his rights after experiencing $12K fraud: 'It was shocking'

How do you know "he didn't give anyone his sensitive information etc . . . ". Everybody who has engaged in internet transactions has given away sensitive information. It's a question of knowing exactly to whom we are giving that information and making absolutely sure that it's a legitimate entity.

The Passport Blunder That Made My Girlfriend Furious: Find Out What Shocking Thing I Did Before Our Japan Trip!

Years ago we found out very late that my wife's passport had expired. We agreed mutually that I would go on ahead with the young children to meet up with my family for a holiday in Italy. The Australian consulate in Singapore were outstanding in processing a new passport at short notice. My wife...

Passenger bites fellow traveller mid-flight in shocking airborne brawl

One remarked: ‘You know it’s the UK when people are head-butting.’!!! It's ridiculous nationalistic or partisan comments like that that might start an altercation.

Trump signs controversial executive orders on his first day, sparking outrage!

His 'team' are nearly all vehement supporters of his, so it's no surprise that the majority will agree with him. Any opponents are sidelined and ignored. In a viable democratic system, there is a due process of debate by elected representatives in Parliament, including political opponents...

Trump signs controversial executive orders on his first day, sparking outrage!

When a swag of unilateral executive orders can become law without consultation with the elected Government, then dictatorship prevails and Democracy has come to an end. There are definitely lessons to be learned before any republican regime is established in our country.

Is Your Favorite Swimwear Outlawed? Outrage as Popular Pool Chain Bans G-String Bikinis!

Businesses and sporting venues have every right to set a dress code for their premises. In this case, as a man with many years of assessing women's attire, I would fully support this rule. ;)

It’s reassuring to see that most comments in this thread are against incorporating those words into television and daily life.

'That's criminal!': Customers clamour about bank's outrageous fees

We all need to realise that banks have costs; rent or purchase of their properties, utilities, insurance, staff costs, etc, etc. We should not expect them to look after our money for free. Their costs are covered by a combination of fees and return on investment of our money on deposit. They...

Report calls on overhaul of current superannuation system with simpler tax rules

"Firstly, the report proposes a uniform tax rate of 10 per cent on all superannuation." Surely this should read ". . . on all superannuation contributions." As written, it is a broad brush and ambiguous statement and there is lots of other ambiguity in this report. I just wish reporters would...
