Major deal keeps bank branches open—what it means for communities

Exactly my points. There is an election coming up, that's all and, like you said, Banks do not like to pay money to Australia Post and try anything to avoid it. Do you remember the Christine Holgate saga where she stood up to the Banks and force them to pay, only to be dismissed because of four...

Major deal keeps bank branches open—what it means for communities

I have been saying it for years. Make Australia Post a Bank with all the powers attributable to any other Bank and you will soon see that the Banks will have to do something about it or loosing a hell of a lot of clients. This proposal is just another band-aid solution in order to temporarily...

Is your local branch closing? Customers react to controversial bank closures

It is a matter of differing opinions, Yours against mine. As my old man used to say, if you try to wash the head of the donkey you will come to realise that you have wasted the water, the soap and most importantly your time. As for the last part of your comments, especially the part of subsidies...

Is your local branch closing? Customers react to controversial bank closures

Love it... 100% correct. More likely it is because they might get a 1 million dollar a year job with them after they retire or lose their jobs. I scratch your back if you are going to scratch mine.

Is your local branch closing? Customers react to controversial bank closures

Go to your Local Member and push him/her to get Australia Bank approved to be a full Banker. Your money will be totally safe as it belongs to the Government AND all of us, and it will be open 100% of the time in wherever they will be Post Office. You can already withdraw money from Post Offices...

Is your local branch closing? Customers react to controversial bank closures

Don't try and defend the indefensible. What the Banks are doing is totally unwarranted and unjustified and, mark my words that there will be a day that you will regret what you saying and/or pushing unto others as you will be as smart as you are, or pretend to be, now. In closing how do you...

Is your local branch closing? Customers react to controversial bank closures

Why isn't Albanese and Chalmers responds to that.? Why isn't Albanese and Chalmers stop putting a up to that crap and/or Legislate where people cannot be used as pawns by the Banks even though the Banks are making money and enriching themselves from the people.? Why isn't Albanese and Chalmers...

Is ALDI’s bold new move a deal-breaker for Aussie shoppers? The verdict is in

It was a big surprise to me as well. Over the last couple of times I have been directed to go through the self serve myself. In my town they close 3 or 4 of the checkout and only left two of them going. The last one (Checkout) is always close.

Shocking odds reveal whether you can recover money after scammers take it

Well put it to you in this way. I get better service any day of the week from Australia Post. I went to my bank to buy $10,000.00 Euros and they couldn't help me, than one of the teller said to me (quietly) go across the road to the PO. I did and no problems at all. It was all done in a matter...

Is ALDI’s bold new move a deal-breaker for Aussie shoppers? The verdict is in

Most of the time I use the self checkout and I will look if that sign is there when I will go in next. But as I said, I am only going there to get what I can't get anywhere else and I get other few things when there due to the disappointment I have experienced over the last couple of months...

Is ALDI’s bold new move a deal-breaker for Aussie shoppers? The verdict is in

I wasn't aware of that nor was I ever told to do it in that way. So do we have to blame the staff for telling us when we put the card up for payment processing.? Besides when I swape the rad through nothing comes up on the screen before that that I could see either. And yet, up to thjs stage I...

Do you mean about what is happening in Europe or here in Australia whereby Aldi is already charging us fees for using Credit Cards.?

Is ALDI’s bold new move a deal-breaker for Aussie shoppers? The verdict is in

Yes but it has originated in Europe and anything can happen. Now, if anyone has taken notice of it before, we are even charged a fee for the processing of our credit card when you pay for your groceries at Aldi. Never heard of that before but, when queried with my daughter, she said that it has...

Transport minister's taxpayer-funded winery escapades spark public outrage

You are right but many of them will eventually end up with a corporation job in a Board and makes millions of dollars after that. Mike Baird was the typical example of that. John Anderson made millions or joining the Board of a Gas company and that is only a few that did that and don't forget...

Is ALDI’s bold new move a deal-breaker for Aussie shoppers? The verdict is in

I have been a great supporter of Aldi ever since the stupid Idea of Woolworths not supporting Australia Day nor Anzac Day. But now I am beginning to wonder if it was all worth it. The only time I go there now is because they have some bred that I can't buy anywhere else. I also buy some other...

Transport minister's taxpayer-funded winery escapades spark public outrage

Yes, but they are only doing it because they know that they will never suffer the consequences which you and I will be dealt with if we were to do the same. Why was Farrell made to resign for just a bottle of wine he did not declared.? Is there two systems of Lasw, one for the Liberals and...

Transport minister's taxpayer-funded winery escapades spark public outrage

You are dead right. She has only offered to refund the money because she was caught out with her pants around her ankles And that is a fact. Shame on her and double shame on Minns for keeping her there. He only proves how weak he is when it comes to his mates. How on hell does he expect that any...

Transport minister's taxpayer-funded winery escapades spark public outrage

She should be kicked out of Parliament not just stepping down and continue receiving taxpayers funded money. If you really look at it, she practically has stolen from us and the Government, and if anyone of us would steal from anyone LET ALONE FROM THE GOVERNMENT we would all be set to jail.
