Lose weight without giving up cravings? See these fast food options that should fit your diet!

Would not consider any Macca item as a nutritious food choice. When I do occasionally eat at Maccas, I feel like I'm being bad.

Chemist Warehouse brings in luxury for less with their latest body care range!

The 500ml Ovidio hand and body wash that's the 'bargain' is still $19.00. I don't think that's a bargain. It only looks cheap when compared to the Aesop product. There are several 500ml hand and body wash products in supermarkets that cost less.

Women love this $70 Target dress—you'd never guess it's not designer!

I like to read/hear about bargains that could save me money, I think many of us do that. The summer dress in the picture above however, is in my opinion best suited to a younger demographic (see attachment). (For me), gone are the days of strapless, sleeveless and otherwise revealing. I...

Shopper shares new saving techniques to cut grocery bills

I always shop with a list I make up after checking what's been used. It keeps me focused. Once I've ticked everything off, I'm ready to go home 😵‍💫.

Shopper shares new saving techniques to cut grocery bills

Great planning, storage space is fantastic. I've downsized to a 2 bedroom apartment so storage is an issue. I do still try to stock up on items I like when they're on special and have got my unopened stash on shelves in the laundry 😋.

Driving the point home: Aussie state’s licence rule leaves drivers scratching their heads

Queensland issues restricted licences to applicants, usually for the purpose of driving for/to work. Not sure if the commenters in the article oppose the existence of a restricted use licence or the 'E' plate that is required to be displayed.

Aussies with mortgages brace for changes after crucial bank update

People today having to have everything is a factor. Advertising and consumerism play parts in coercing people to overspend. But property prices in recent years have increased beyond expectation. These days, prices are many more times wage levels than in years gone by.

Doctor banned for 10 years after shocking allegations of inappropriate conduct

Going by the dates noted in the article and estimating age (because that was not stated) at registration, it's likely that this doctor will not practise medicine in the future. 1985 - Registration as Medical practitioner. Age estimate 25 years. 2024 - Based on age estimate, this person would...

Doctor banned for 10 years after shocking allegations of inappropriate conduct

The standard is that medical practitioners having power over patients should conduct themselves professionally with impartiality maintaining distance between themselves and patients. Disturbingly sometimes reality doesn't meet this standard. I recall a couple of my own past experiences that...

Aussie cafe’s most shocking menu revelation—you won't believe what they just added!

I would have concluded joke. Might have saved themselves some odd glances if they'd had that at the end in brackets.

'It's so frustrating': Bank freezes pensioner's bank account over 'ridiculous' mistake

The article did say that the bank was protecting the customer. Damned if you do and damned if you don't. I wonder what the customer and many of the cranky responders would be saying if the bank had not stopped the account and the balance had subsequently been withdrawn 🤷🤦.

'It's so frustrating': Bank freezes pensioner's bank account over 'ridiculous' mistake

Yes, I agree there is limited information in the article. Many people give relatives/carers their card and/or pin/password so officially it looks as though the customer is withdrawing money. It would be better if the customer appointed that 3rd party as his/her: 1. a Power of Attorney; or 2...

Aussie mum receives shocking fines after her dream holiday: 'It's very strange'

Being summoned for jury duty upsets a lot of people. Many try to opt out. A number of those who succeed are astute, intelligent and capable people. Most people would agree that they want juries to be made up of fair minded people who will act conscientiously to do the right thing. Opting out...

Brazen heist involving a senior citizen raises serious questions

Not sure you can legitimately say something like that. What work do you do or did you do? Was there ever a rotten egg in your mob? Are you comfortable being labelled rotten along with him or her?

New initiative aims to prevent robberies during online transactions

Why haven't there been trials of these safe exchange sites in other states? I know I've read about snatch and grabs in Queensland and New South Wales.
