'The car was a piece of s***': Argument ensues over five-digit repair job

My car repairer would always give me a call, explain the problem and a quote before doing anything. It seems like this incident wasn't handled in a mature manner by either party.

Garbo collectors are onto you: This bin day mistake can cost you $1,674!

Sadly, too many people just can't be bothered to do the right thing.

Shocking reason why Prince William hired Diana's divorce lawyer

Are we expected to believe that this earlier comment of yours is a fact and not an opinion?: "The monarchy is nothing but a useless and tenuous connection between the government and religion in the United Kingdom, which themselves are useless."

You won’t believe why a woman tried to open a plane door at 33,000 feet

I have always understood, and would fully expect that it was impossible to open one of those doors while in flight. What I don't understand is why they needed to return to Denpasar rather than continue to Australia.

Q8: Avebury is also in Wiltshire!

Aussies share a 'big worry hanging on our heads' as cost of living continues to rise

Sorry, but the Greens are a total waste of space. They have no idea about how to manage economics, healthcare, power generation, climate change or anything else they rabbit on about.

    Computer Scam.

I think I've clicked on that photo, and others on FB. Lots of alarming bells and whistles ring out and an alarming pop up says your device has been infected by a dangerous virus. The pop up says to call Microsoft(?) on the given phone number in order to get it removed. The phone number is that...

Some say it’s overdue, others say it’s unnecessary: Where do you stand on this bathroom debate?

For goodness sake, just pick one, then walk into one of the cubicles and close the door if you're concerned about other people observing how you're doing what you're there for. As a binary(?) man, I've done my thing at a urinals in ski resorts in Europe while female attendants mop the floor...

Former prime minister sparks fiery debate with TV host: 'We believe in free speech'

I think the residents of Darwin in February 1942 might have a different opinion. Also, the incursions on Newcastle and Sydney 3 or 4 months later . . . . .

‘What’s this world coming to?’: Outrage as brazen thief targets family home

The lady was home at the time of the delivery. Surely the delivery driver could afford to wait a minute or two to ring the door bell hand over the parcel, especially for $170 of groceries. It's possible the lady can claim a mis-delivery from Woolworths and demand a replacement.

This parking behaviour has sparked outrage–could it be happening near you?

Really? I can't find any reference to this in the Road User Handbook, NSW.

This parking behaviour has sparked outrage–could it be happening near you?

I hope they checked that the disability permit was actually his. So many people 'borrow' somebody else's permit then use it for their own advantage.

‘Lip-service won’t fix the air we breathe’: Frustration grows over pollution fears

I can't see that the air quality would be any worse than idling along in heavy traffic on a major road in almost any big city. People rarely complain about the air quality in those situations, they just join the fray.

Smart or deceiving? Look at this cafe's trick to 'lure' customers in!

I am surprised the authorities allow these signs which seem to be proliferating. It is an amusing attraction for the premises but could be a distraction for drivers as they read it and spend valuable seconds understanding it.

'What the h*** is that?': Drivers share their confusion over bustling city's road signs!

If somebody from Melbourne is confused, it must be really confusing.

'My neighbour's rubbish spills over to my driveway... so I kicked it back to their side'

An appropriate response is to make a polite request to change her ways a couple of times. If that doesn't work I think you have every right to simply push the bin and any spilled contents across the boundary onto her property.

Would you call your mum an ‘inseminated person’? New proposal sparks debate

I have been surprised at how many people in this country are supporters of Trump and how they wish somebody like him would govern this country, so a lot of people here seem to wish that such American BS would come here!!!

Aussie homeowner cops $600 power bill hike after neighbour’s backyard decision

Getting the solar panels moved to the roof of the house would be a peaceful option. Exposing some of the roots on your side of the fence and poisoning them would be a more contentious option. I'm not sure how the law would view that but you could easily ask somebody. I believe that cutting the...

Customer fights for his rights after experiencing $12K fraud: 'It was shocking'

Sorry Wayneo, I never meant to be disagreeable. I made my comments in the hope that onlookers may learn something, understand and improve their own security. I've been scammed myself in a small way so I'm very careful not to let it happen again.

Customer fights for his rights after experiencing $12K fraud: 'It was shocking'

I don't think that's true. Scammers can only obtain information that is available on the www. They will go for the easy pickings. I can't believe they'll spend their time searching for information from somebody who doesn't have an internet existence, and their algorithms won't pick them up...
