Avoid a $483 nightmare this Christmas! New camping rules could cost you big time

They are. Any peeled prawns you buy in Australia are imported. My brother actually went to a job site, totally unrelated to his business, and witnessed an Asian chap, sitting on the toilet, out back of a restaurant, peeling prawns. I would strongly recommend buying Australian and peeling your own.

Famous park pushes through with New Year's Day celebrations despite wide-scale disruptions

It's also just one family making/selling and profiting from these fire works. Bringing people into the city may be good for the economy, but that money doesn't go to the hungry and homeless.

Famous park pushes through with New Year's Day celebrations despite wide-scale disruptions

Tell them you love them (and mean it), spend time with them, do things together. These are the things people remember. I can't honestly say that I have ever been given a bunch of flowers that I remember fondly, years down the track. Nowadays I just pity the poor exploited overseas workers who...

'I’ve never asked you for money': estranged son shocked by $4000 scam targeting his mother

I have been targeted a few times, I think it was pretty unsophisticated compared to what you are describing here. The simple act of ring said son or daughter and also confirming with their partner probably saved me quite a few $$$.

Royal insider reveal details about King Charles' battle with cancer

A moment (8 months actually) like those the royals are experiencing taught my family the importance of not only being there for your loved ones, but also telling them that you love them.

Avoid a $483 nightmare this Christmas! New camping rules could cost you big time

You must really enjoy the prawns grown in the sewers that we still import as well. I agree with you wholeheartedly, none of this rubbish should be allowed into Australia. We don't need it, have better quality alternatives readily available here and if we didn't import this cheap, nasty crap...

‘A ticking time bomb’: Why you should rethink your Christmas shopping this year

I absolutely adore English Ivy, but mine remain contained in pots on stands and have zero chance of escaping into the environment. I also have 3 times the number of grevilleas as any other plant. I love the natives, but the ivy makes a pretty indoor/semi outdoor feature.

‘Dead zone’: Is this iconic Aussie establishment at risk of closure?

I remember, as a kid, often eating at the old spaghetti factory. No lighting other than candles on the tables, no choices for food, spaghetti or go hungry. It was great evening out for family and friends but my memories may not be too accurate, this was more than 50 years ago (I think).

Famous park pushes through with New Year's Day celebrations despite wide-scale disruptions

As far as I'm concerned (controversial, I know) the fireworks should have been replaced years ago, with something less harmful to the environment. The recent light shows also brought people to the city.

Allegations Against Alan Jones Just Took a Jaw-Dropping Turn – What You Need to Know!

Most 'Joe Average' people only come forward when someone else has taken the chance of not being believed. We should all "take our hays off" to those who stand up to be heard, especially when they don't even know if they will be believed. A high profile individual has a much greater chance of...

This Genius Budget Gift Idea Is Winning Christmas in Every Household – Get It Before It’s Too Late!

I simply shop earlier in the year and never pay full price for anything. My brother, on the other hand, has started his family doing a 'secret Santa' where they each pick another family members name out of a hat. Thus each family member needs to only buy one gift. A price is set each year and...

Salvation Army braces for its toughest Christmas yet: 'It's going to be the hardest in 140 years'

Is $15 too steep for a reusable bag? Coles shoppers have their say

Funny you should say that. My local Coles has a great range of cheaper options, you know, the things people won't by because they are the 'no frills' option. Some of the Coles branded dairy products are actually superior to the branded product.
