    I have a husband that is a Electrician I presume Plumbers are the same. A call out is a set charge regardless whether it takes 15 minutes or a hour they have been CALLED out. you are paying for a tradies skills.

    Well said, I think travelling anywhere outside Australia you should take out insurance. My Aunty on holidays from the UK a few years back, broke her leg walking, she was covered by Medicare we reciprocate with the UK. But her travel insurance got her home safely with a broken leg.

    Your annual Eye check & hearing test is charged under medicare, if we need glasses you can get frames for under $50 not designer but serve the purpose. We still have top hospital but for the $2000 a year for extras that we weren't really using we gave that part up.
