Mining consultant faces lengthy legal battle due to 'little gift'

The man is not stupid! $11m to carry a gift? No. He just thinks the Australian police are stupid. And like all crooks will now try it on using "health issues" as an excuse. You do the crime, you do the time. And I hope it's a long time.

Binning budgets: Aussie city's residents face upcoming 'bin tax' hike amidst cost-of-living woes

How dare they even charge a bin tax at all. That is one of the core readons we pay rates. And that's one of the core responsibilities of Councils; to maintain and clean roads and infrastructure, rubbish collection, bin collection etc. It is NOT to charge extraunder the guise of those facilities...

Cancer survivor hits with outrageous $15,000 water bill: ‘We can't get any common sense’

I wouldvtell the Council to present me with detailed info that I had used it and on what and where. Electricity bills can tell you where your usage is, eg refrigerator pool heater air con etc so tell them to provide the same info. Put the onus on them to prove. Then go see a lawyer.

Woolworths launches exciting 'Dine In' trial you can't miss!

When Woolworths or any of our supermarkets can offer what Tescos and the supermarkets in the UK offer for the same money then I'll be happy. Here is an example of Tesco's offering. Beat that Woolworths! £12 will buy you a choice of a main meal, eg roast meat, fish etc, a choice of vegetables...

Customer slams Woolworths for deceptive signage: ‘Another shonky tactic’

They do it all the tine so when you get to the checkout, if you're not checking every item you get caught and if you do notice you're left with either paying the higher price r going home without your product. Their other tricks are big yellow price stickers over the normal white shelf stickers...

Major Aussie retailer faces serious allegations from the ACCC

Better not to log in at all. Temu is a Chinese company using Temu as an information gathering site around the world for the Chinese government. Many countries have, or are in the process of banning Temu on security grounds. Google it. No 100% proof yet but probably true.

ALDI retains Supermarket of the Year title for fourth year in a row

No surprise there. Coles and Woolies are appallingly expensive, con you into thinking you're getting a bargain with their laege, bright ticket pricing which, if you look underneath, is the same price as the original shelf price, diminishing brands the customers like to push what they want...

Coles and Woolworths on the brink of $10 million fines with new rule change

Doubt they'll ever implement it. They're simply trying to shot us up. Plus, $10m is peanuts to them. Rhey operate as a cartel which is illegal in the US. Why isn't it here?

Couples share drawn-out battle with travel agency: 'We want that money back'

Beware using online companies. I booked a Greek Island trip through TripaDeal which was cancelled due to Covid. They offered me a credit which I didn't want. They refused to refund on the basis they were only a "facilitator/organiser" of the trip and had already paid out for the flights hotels...

Coles have upped the prices by huge mark-ups on many, many more everyday items in the space of a week! For example 4 X SPC Baked beans. $6 to $6.50 Everything on my list that day (2 weeks ago) had rocketed in price! So don't be fooled by Coles propaganda. They just manoeuvre prices by...

Is your wallet about to become obsolete? Discover when Australia plans to go completely cashless

I spent an inordinate amount of time yesterday tryung to speak to a human at St George Bank re an email they'd sent me asking me to call them on 133330 re switching 2 of my accounts to low-fee accounts. Tourist's frustration brews over Aussie cafés’ early closing hours

Oh and all you have to do is roster your staff across different hours. Nobody needs to be there 12+ hours. Just do 6am-10am, 10-2, 2-6 as an example.

Tourist's frustration brews over Aussie cafés’ early closing hours

Totally understand. She's right. It is frustrating. And I've lived here for 40+ years. I don't understand it either. People don't go to cafes after 2pm because they're wrapping up from lunch and can't wait to get their doors closed. Can't count the times I've gone to a cafe at 2.30-3pm for tea...

Slash your Easter grocery bills with Woolworths' pricing overhaul!

Woolworths, and Coles for that matter, need to slash their prices across the board by at least 25% on all the everyday items people buy and need to provide for their families. Bread, cereals, fresh fruit and veg, butter, cheese, cereals, meat, washing products, etc etc. Luxury items such as...
