Scam victim fights back and wins: How one person took down a banking behemoth!

I find the system appalling, it encourages fraud, and I cannot believe how easy it clearly must be to money launder, when the Bank has no idea where the money went or can do nothing about retrieving it, it's a laughing stock and imo regressive of the Financial Industry. If I want to withdraw my...

Woman loses $813,000 in an elaborate scam—all because of one letter in an email!

True, just her money, no questions asked. I would hope if by some means my account was accessed that the Bank would endeavour to contact me b4 handing over such a sum, particularly as the destination account had to be somewhat suss. The bank makes the rules, the bank encourages people to use...

Woman loses $813,000 in an elaborate scam—all because of one letter in an email!

Sorry, but people do still have some rights as to what they want the public to know, I know some think they have the right to others personal business, and that has never stopped some publishers, but that's the law.

Woman loses $813,000 in an elaborate scam—all because of one letter in an email!

Once again jumping to conclusions while not knowing the full story, Surely something is wrong with a system that allows money launderers to move such amounts uninhibited, even not knowing where it's gone or having the ability to recover such sums.

Woman loses $813,000 in an elaborate scam—all because of one letter in an email!

So much for Banking Security measures when this can happen, what is the Govt. doing allowing such transactions to take place in regard to money laundering? If I want to take just a few thousand from my bank account, they give me the third degree as to what I want the money for, yet this raises...

Shocking Negligence: How Western Power's $40,000 Fine Reveals the Danger Lurking in Your Home!

That sounds a bit Ageist, "For our readers, especially those in their golden years who may not be as familiar with the intricacies of electrical work", we have more experience than most, but to expect anyone to know the appropriate tests were not done is a bit rich, imo.

Find out how much Aussies are paying for petrol as prices skyrocket!

The NRMA, RAA, etc all publish the same condescending waffle imo, they have no sensible explanation, and should be offering/promoting plans to fight back take action against this oppressive industry if they truly represented the motorist.

Find out how much Aussies are paying for petrol as prices skyrocket!

There is no such thing as a price cycle in SA, it can jump 50c a litre overnight, and change back again in a few days, it's all over the place lately. So much for the price being output related, and this supposed cycle business is just an industry concocted scam that's never going to be cheaper...

Child's makes horrifying discovery inside Australia Post parcel: 'It was devastating'

Funny, I'm not allowed to even bring an orange across the border because of bio security, but bee keepers can mail live insects, what's going on?

ACCC slams Coles and Woolworths over misleading prices and discount schemes

If proven true?, the supermarkets themselves often post the date when it was higher in an effort to deceive imo, and I'm surprised people are not aware of this already, perhaps those who do not shop regularly take it at face value, but I know when they imo are lying.

Heartbreaking loss: Woman loses $50,000 after online boyfriend disappears

It's commonsense not to take at face value anything shown or said in cyber space, and to take every precaution b4 accepting anyone/thing.

Shocking downside of new Australian parking systems that could affect you!

Go woke, go broke. While cyber security is already known to be more than hazardous, Council deems it necessary to adopt more of it regardless of what their constituents or is it customers/clients these days, feel or want.

The Australian government will impose a ban on this home makeover item by next year!

This stone has no comparison to asbestos, that's just silly, and measures can be taken when working with it, like any other stone imo, it's dangerous.

Weighty issue at ALDI: Customers mince no words over alleged meat mislabelling!

There is nothing dishonest in this, provided UR only charged for the weight supplied. I look at the price per kg and if the cost is less I know it's less than a kg, this is a beatup like much of so called social media.

Weighty issue at ALDI: Customers mince no words over alleged meat mislabelling!

U would still only pay for the weight enclosed they don't show the price, not sure I like the idea of an e allowing near a 20% discrepancy tho.

Parking penalties turn a new leaf: No more sneaky fines, just honest stickers!

Can they get any more devious, and if U ever had any doubt who the Councils work for this ought to have set them to rest.

Click and a miss: Aussie business owner’s email scam nightmare rolls into cybersecurity alert

Seems to me that until Govts ban or censor any online transactions from the regions these scams originate, that their local authorities will do anything about these crooks. Making their local Govts responsible for these operators is the only way as we have no jurisdiction on foreign soil. We...

Discovery of old receipt exposes the harsh grocery truth: ‘We’re being ripped off!'

Imo they are all guilty of gouging, but we are a capitalist society regulated primarily by supply and demand and little else. Ask these same people how many are willing to take a cut to their house value, or get rid of capital gains/negative gearing concessions, most will cry foul. Even the...

Aussie state unveils 2024 budget with record cost-of-living relief for seniors and vulnerable residents
