If it was a 3 or 4 year old car with a hazard/recall, you'd expect the manufacturer to cover it. Consumer IT is way behind in responsibility to consumers. IMHO.
The update only works for quite recent Apple devices (phones, MacBooks, computers). I think Apple should be more accommodating for users with older devices. Caveat: I am not an Apple owner. T.
