It is blatant theft. The little bogans would scream like hell if the supermarkets came to their place and broke their belongings. Burn their fingers if they are caught - teach the little buggers a lesson they won't forget. BTW, I don't think it is always the kids that are doing it.

I totally agree with what you are saying, however I will not use these horrible things and if a services checkout is not available I will leave my trolley load of groceries where it is and walk out the door to do my shopping where I will be served by an actual human. It is time these machines...
