Your Say Sunday Poll: Taxing the Rich

My comments are based upon what Kerry Packer has said publicy on television and I am quoting his own words.

Your Say Sunday Poll: Taxing the Rich

Before you tax people, Businesses should be taxed on their annual turnover instead of what they currently claim on after tax income. They get too many opportunities to shuffle money elsewhere but with what I see to be corrupt Governments, this will never happen. Kerry Packer is a prime example...

Tooth-cracking object found in grocery staple leaves customer in horror - you won't believe the 'INSULTING' compensation they received!

A lot of responsible food manufacturers do have x ray machines at the end of their production lines, but these are not infallible.

Tooth-cracking object found in grocery staple leaves customer in horror - you won't believe the 'INSULTING' compensation they received!

Sorry I forgot to add that any food sold by anyone who did not make the product is sold with what is called an "Implied Warranty" which means that the seller isn't responsible but the manufacturer is.

Tooth-cracking object found in grocery staple leaves customer in horror - you won't believe the 'INSULTING' compensation they received!

As a retired Environmental Health Officer (Health Inspector) in Victoria, the complaint should be taken to your local Council first for them to investigate the complaint. They should inform Woolworths of the complaint but retain possession of the product. Then advise the manufacturer of the...

Did this Coles shopper take it too far? Other shoppers were outraged

By his actions this not only wastes staff time and good food, it actually ends up pushing up prices storewide. Don't vent on staff, express your disgust to management at board level of Coles.

Lottery winner's boyfriend 'rats her out' after she said no to his demands

Ditch him now, any respectable partner would not make these demands and would be happy for his partner to help her family and put aside funds for the future. As for making her winnings public, I would have a talk to a solicitor.

Will paper receipts soon be a thing of the past? Kmart is going (mostly) digital using new 'smart' Aussie technology

People are split on this shopper’s ‘easy-to-miss’ discovery on a tray of butcher steaks

This is what the supermarkets deserve when they choose to stock shelves with products and make you collect your products and then have them scanned at one of very few checkouts. By not employing staff to do the product collection and selling, they deserve to lose money due to incorrect pricing...

Shoppers are FURIOUS at supermarket self-serve checkouts — find out why!

I refuse to use them as I prefer to keep young people in a job (as well as older people). The number of self serve checkouts increases dramatically whenever a supermarket does a makeover. Look to the future and think, where will my kids get a casual job for experience or pocket money.

Driver draws flak online for 'selfish' parking act – is this behaviour okay?

I frequently tow a trailer and understand that I will have to park further away from where I need to shop. Its simple and courteous to other road users. What annoys me though is the number of vehicles who park in the "baby on board" parking bays, who quite obviously are too lazy to walk a few...

Shoppers are threatening to 'boycott' Woolies over new technology at checkouts

This is just another cheap way of doing young people out of jobs while keeping their prices high. I have never used them and no, I don't have anything to hide and no I'n not a thief. I have switched to Aldi to do the majority of my shopping and their everyday prices are always lower than Woolies...

Woolworths is changing the way we use self-checkout registers - customers are split on whether they like the new feature

I wont use them on principle, where are young people going to get jobs if they are done away with. Shame Woolworths shame on doing people out of jobs whilst keeping prices high and making multi million dollar profits.
