Health officials issue alert after monkeypox outbreak in this state

Cheers and thanks. Yes, it's been described as a blend of Chicken Pox and Small Pox, which are both closely related to it. There is Clade 1 (most severe), Clade 2 (much the same as Chicken Pox), and Clade 1b (much the same as Clade 1 in severity, but more contagious). Mine is Clade 1 or 1b.

Health officials issue alert after monkeypox outbreak in this state

IMPORTANT: Much of the information in this article is not quite correct. I say that because as I type this, I am sitting at my computer trying my best to resist the need to scratch the itching that covers much of my body, because I know if I do, not only will it cause them to itch more, it will...

Shocking Surprise: This Aussie Woman's 'Croissant' Lamp Order from Temu Was Nothing Like She Expected! Discover What Happened.

Just some examples of the weird stuff that I get a laugh out of but don't buy... ok, I DID buy Devil Duck as a funny gift for somebody. Mostly what I buy on Temu is stuff for making model train layouts and scale dioramas. Also art and craft supplies. It's excellent for that and only a fraction...

Grieving Daughter's Home Invasion Nightmare - Squatters Take Over & Ruin Her Father's Legacy!

That's ok, all good, but I just need to ask one thing: If the owner hasn't gone to the property nor done any maintenance at all for 12-15 years, it's going to be in a bit of a state of disrepair. So, then if somebody else moves in, cleans it up, reconnects the utilities, and returns it to being...

Grieving Daughter's Home Invasion Nightmare - Squatters Take Over & Ruin Her Father's Legacy!

Nothing in the article suggested that any property had been destroyed or vandalised, simply removed and replaced. I'm pretty sure that if it was abandoned, and locked up for 15 years, whatever property left inside would have smelled very musty and mouldy, so there couldn't have been very much by...

Grieving Daughter's Home Invasion Nightmare - Squatters Take Over & Ruin Her Father's Legacy!

I have to say that I'm 100% on the squatter's side with this one. As far as they were concerned, it was an abandoned property, and reading between the lines, it sounds like they were the only ones who maintained it since moving in, possibly over a decade ago, as well as keeping all the utilities...

Shocking Surprise: This Aussie Woman's 'Croissant' Lamp Order from Temu Was Nothing Like She Expected! Discover What Happened.

Temu has become my favourite place to shop. Have made some great quality purchases, but also some great laughs at some of the really obscure products that appear. For example, they have a great range of cute and humorous rubber ducks... including that oft-mentioned 'little black duck', a female...

    AIBU 13.09.2024

Yes, you are being unreasonable to expect to be paid back for such an accident. It was your choice alone to buy an expensive wine in a vain attempt to impress the parents, not the sister, and accidents happen (especially at a party with drinking involved). Next time, you just buy an expensive...

Watch Out: You Won't Believe What This Neighbor Did Over a Controversial Parking Move – Who Really Owns the Street?

Not enough info. The neighbour may have had a very legitimate reason for needing to 'reserve' a space on that day, presumably because of whatever he needed the trailer for. But if it became an everyday thing instead of a one-off, I would certainly voice an objection.

Princess of Wales shares intimate family video as she completes cancer chemotherapy treatment

Cute video. The old film video camera effects are a bit cheesy, but fun. I think the Princess is getting better at post-editing, either that or 'they' said NO and got a pro with sentimental tendencies to do it, lol  Lovely, positive, "we're just like you" video (although maybe a bit too...

Outrage Explodes Online: Was This Aussie Senior's Nudist Beach Joke Harmless Fun or a Serious Offense?

"The man's comment, suggesting that she could sunbathe nude if she wished, as it was a nudist beach". Being an older gentleman, it's entirely conceivable that he may have thought that she wasn't aware about the status of the beach and believed he was being helpful and informative. It may also...

Australians Are Outraged: The Controversial BBQ Habit You Must Avoid at All Costs!

The ideaology: People SHOULD clean the BBQ after using it out of respect and courtesy for other users and the local community, etc. The reality: People (especially tourists on holiday), simply DON'T clean up after themselves for whatever reason. Very often it can even be a whole busload of...

Discover the Aussie store name that Americans struggle to pronounce – and you've probably been saying it wrong too!

How is that resolving the debate? It just raises more questions, such as "Is that 'De' as in 'dead', or 'De as in 'dee'? ... then 'Cuba' as in the country, or 'Cuba' as in 'cooba'? But of course, it seems like it could be South American origin to me, so the silent 'J' might make the...

Social media crackdown looms in one Aussie state—here's what you need to know

I can't see any way that ban would be 'policeable' to enforce it ... and what would they do if a young person WAS caught? However, I strongly support the intent behind the initiative, just can't see how it would work in the 'real' world. Also, there's the fact that saying to young teenagers "you...

These seven Aussie destinations are dubbed the world's 'most boring' stops!

My comment was a general statement about the nature of museums and other tourist attractions, not specific locations. Mona has a very different problem. It has become too 'niche' with the management of Australia's visual arts industry being swamped by the various LGBTQI body's, especially the...

Woolworths’ empty shelves spark concern among Aussie shoppers—‘This is a disgrace’

Sounds like the perfect storm at Woollies supply base ... new software for refrigerated goods that doesn't work (someone almost certainly thought it would be a good idea to introduce the latest AI-based system because it's 'fresh'!). Then on top of that, (quote) Australia is ‘actually running...

Bring home the wagyu: Man allegedly steals $12,000 worth of meat more than 27 times

As most others have already said, there is no justification for theft. The time for leniency comes after he's charged, taken to court, and the real circumstances are known (not just making assumptions). However, there is a very high likelihood that it is being on-sold to a restaurant rather than...
