Shoppers taking matters into their own hands: Is it okay to steal from supermarkets amid the cost-of-living crisis?

No it’s not ok to steal from anyone. Would I do it - no I would get caught for sure. Not worth it.

I hope they are originals and not a fool proof copy !!! Hard to tell sometimes.

Are supermarkets ripping you off? Lamb purchase leaves shopper frustrated

I won’t buy any meat from Woolies any more after buying a tray of lamb bbq chops. The tray weighed 1.092 grams and the amount of fat I had to cut off weighed 384 grams, just over 700g of meat which I paid over 1 kg. The chops were layered on top of each other hiding all the fat so they looked...

Woolies shopper discovers astonishing price difference for a household staple: Are we paying too much?

I always buy Panamax from the chemist. $2.99 for 100 tablets which last me ages. Same 500 mg of paracetamol as Panadol but at a fraction of the price. They also have an osteo one that is less than 1/2 the price of the panadol one.

Is Tupperware on the Brink of Extinction? People Share Their Thoughts on the Iconic Kitchen Staple

I agree Tupperware is really expensive with so many just as good alternatives in the shops. I returned a lid that didn’t seal properly and the demonstrator assured me that it was 100% guaranteed and would be replaced. But no - they refused to replace it, telling me I could buy another one...

Is ALDI still the budget-friendly retailer it once was? Shopper shares $60 haul and sparks debate

Prices at coles and Woolies have increased dramatically but I agree that Aldi has prices comparable with them now. No longer is it considerably cheaper to shop there. Quite a few things are either the same price or only 1 cent cheaper. I prefer coles because of variety (not just one brand ) and...

Coles puts a damper on flower sales with ‘confusing’ use-by dates policy

That’s interesting about the flowers but I agree about dairy products. Last week I purchased 2 packs of Philly cheese from coles to make a cheese cake for the weekend. When I went to use them they were 5 weeks out of date. No cheese cake !!! I returned them and it was like they didn’t...

Centrelink recipient shares $100 fortnightly grocery haul: 'People who believe Jobseekers are out here living the life are wrong'

Oh how I would love, love, love to see how I could live on the pension. It was taken off me totally a few years ago when they changed the asset limit. When my father passed away I bought a unit with his money and my single mother daughter moved into the family home with her three children when...

‘This is a joke, right?’ Outrageous price for Coco Pops shocks Aussie woman

I have started eating oats. Much cheaper and better for you. Add some fruit on top and it’s a yummy breakie. Speaking of price hikes I just have to vent about dog food. The box of 6 100g serves that I paid $5 for last week is now $8.50 and a 2.5 k bag of dries has gone from $10.50 to $15.50. I...

I won’t shop home delivery any more Apart from the usual descripancies including missing 2 whole crates which I had to go out that day and buy (from another supermarket) because I needed the products for Mother’s Day the following day. The final straw was when I ordered 7 grains and seed bread...
