What’s a childhood memory that got you into big trouble with your parents?

Your mention of strawberries reminded me of the time, when I was about 5-6 years old, when I was accused of stealing the strawberries from the garden. Mum had a small strawberry patch and was keeping an eye on them until they were ripe enough to eat. We were told not to touch them under any...

What’s a childhood memory that got you into big trouble with your parents?

My mum was a relative rarity back in the 60's - a working mother. I babysat myself from a young age. One day, I decided to surprise Mum by cleaning the house while she was at work. I did a great job too! However, I stood on the toilet seat in order to reach the window-sill to dust it and in...

Outrageous or justified? Discover the millionaire dad's controversial on-flight act involving his family

Your response is somewhat contradictory. You admit that the article does not tell the whole story and yet you are prepared to conclude that I am making a "goose" of myself for simply holding the opinion that this more likely to be a destructive than a constructive way to learn a lesson. Well...

Outrageous or justified? Discover the millionaire dad's controversial on-flight act involving his family

I think the lesson the children will learn here is that their parents do not love them enough to spend their money on them, or spend their time with them. There are other more constructive ways to teach children the value of money and hard work. I think the method the parents have chosen is...

Read: Vegan family's outrageous demands in a handwritten note to their meat-cooking neighbour

Some people don't like the smell of meat cooking. Some don't like the smell of other foods, such as curry or garlic. Some don't like the smell of the fertiliser that their neighbours spread on their gardens. And you know what happens when people are offended by smells? Absolutely nothing! They...

    Joke Improvement!

Why do people post negative comments? Eventually, the people who share the jokes will get fed up with their efforts being denigrated and will stop posting, which will be to the detriment of our community. You might not think the joke is particularly funny, but others do, so let us please keep...

    Joke The Divorced Barbie Doll

This reminds me of a time when my daughter was little. She was in bed, as it was past her bedtime. Some friends dropped in for a visit. We were sitting around the kitchen table and one of them told a variation of this joke. While we were laughing, a little voice from the bedroom called out...

    Joke Teacher and Classroom Joke

I had a few teacher bullies too but thankfully the good teachers far outnumbered the bad ones. And the bad ones just made me more determined to prove them wrong.

    Joke Dennis the Menace

That's a very good question! So I looked it up and apparently, "the hair loss that shrinks and kills the follicles on your head won't do the same to the follicles on your face. Those follicles are not sensitive to DHT like the follicles on your hairline, temples, top of your head, and crown."...

    Dennis' Pun Of The Day

I knew it wouldn't take long for someone to display the usual anti-American sentiment in an inappropriate forum. People come here for a laugh, not to be subjected to pettiness. It's just a joke! And since the Americans invented the cellular phone, I guess they are entitled to call it that. It...

Will Aussies have to publicly swear their loyalty to King Charles? Discover the surprising requirement for the coronation!

Yes, it is a shame that Charles did not follow the example of his great-uncle (Edward VIII) and marry the woman he loved instead of Diana.

Will Aussies have to publicly swear their loyalty to King Charles? Discover the surprising requirement for the coronation!

We really only "know" what the press/media choose to report and we know they never let the facts get in the way of a good story. The well-known facts you cite may or may not be true. We will never really know for sure what went on behind closed doors but I think it's their business, not ours...

Will Aussies have to publicly swear their loyalty to King Charles? Discover the surprising requirement for the coronation!

I will be watching the coronation, just as I watched Queen Elizabeth's funeral. (Funnily enough, nobody has complained about the expense of the latter occasion). They are important historical events and I will probably never live to see another one. Elizabeth is a hard act to follow and I am...
