Coles employee reveals what their ‘disappointing’ Christmas gift is from the company

It is true that companies dont need to give christmas gifts to their employees but this is a gesture to say thanks. One year the supermarket I worked for gave all team members, those they managed to come across when working, a packet of mince tarts, their own brand. I would have been happier...

    Last Stop Larrimah (2023)

An interesting place to live. Would not be everyone's cuppa. Not sure I could live in a town with only 11 people. Think it is pretty obvious who commited the crime, but none of them are talking and hard to prove when the town is so torn over everything. A very elderly population so not sure...

Online grocery bulk buying: Can we save more?

My issue with buying from Catch is their high delivery costs. Unless you join their buying scheme, which costs you each month, you pay delivery. When you add that onto the purchase may not always be cheaper. Just my opinion.

Meta tackles scams head-on by verifying Instagram and Facebook business accounts

This is the responsibility these sites should have been taking for a long time. They have the technology, they just dont want to do anything about it. And lots of other large companies, including the banks, should be trying to do the same.

Poll estimates 2.4 million Aussies resorting to theft over financial woes amid cost-of-living crisis

Stealing is not the answer. I have been in very tight financial situations, but never resorted to stealing. I just made sure that there was enough of the basics to get by. Some of this stealing is for products that we can really do without, if you get yourself organised.

Kmart's controversial solution to checkout woes: A first look at the Melbourne store trial

There will never be system that everyone agrees with. It seems that being negative and critical is the new norm. These stores try to make the experience acceptable for most people but it wont ever happen. And I dont like the central register system either, but that's their business to try new...

Here’s what you should do if your gas meter reading is wrong

I had my gas meter changed over a while ago, without any notification. They had turned off the meter and not turned it back on. I only found out when I went to have a shower, and the water was cold. Thought my hotwater had broken, but when I checked the meter, it was off. Then had to redo...

Here are seven Kmart items you’ll surely love this holiday season!

That's the road I am thinking of going down too this year. I never seem to get it right and apart from the little grandies, the older ones would prefer 'cash'. A world I wasnt going to enter, but it's just getting too hard.

You won't believe what this HelloFresh delivery driver was caught doing on camera!

These articles give us some insight into the types of things happening that we may miss on a tv program. Companies rely on word of mouth and if the experience from some customers is negative then it is good for us and them to know why, especially if it is their drivers who may be the problem.

Residents call out local council as weekly red garbage bin collection shifts to fortnightly

A lot of the young ones are using a cloth type nappy. There is an insert inside a multi sized panty. And most of my family, extended and close, use these. Disposable are only used for occasions that they are unable to wash the nappies. But this still does make a lot of garbage.

Why is Coles introducing body-worn cameras at 30 stores? Unveiling their latest move to combat theft and violence

The large amount of cameras already in store dont do anything to stop theft. I highly doubt that another one, even at eye level, will do any better.

Are you ready for a cashless society? How Coles' latest change will affect your shopping routine

This is not new. There have always been these cashless machines in self serve. It saves the company having to pay to have the machines cleared of cash each week and there is less issues with card only machines. The machines are owned and maintained by an outside company so it is quite expensive...

Woolies shopper allegedly accused of theft due to frustrating self-checkout error

And the problem was not putting the item with her other items, but instead putting it back in her trolley. There is a process and if followed correctly there will generally be no issue. The machine only thinks like a machine, not like a person.

Woolworths slashes manager bonuses after devastating workplace tragedies

I can never understand the concept of bonuses. These CEOs are already well paid and it is the underlings that do all the work for these companies. They are really just the head and are rarely hands on. The amount of hard work and extra duties done by the store team when a manager was coming...
