I have been on a pension now for 10 plus years and this is the first significant increase in all that time. It will not make much difference as the cost of everything else like petrol, insurance, health cover, food, specialist fees etc have all risen by a large amount so will be eaten up easily...

My mother always said be a glass half full not a glass half empty. Sometimes hard to be positive but has always been there at the back of my mind.
