Flight attendant debunks common luggage myth

I have always got suitcases from an op shop. This trip I thought no, I’ll treat myself to a decent one. I was advised on the durability, stability, fabric strength.NOT! My case arrived at Melbourne with a big gash or L shaped, several other little gashes along the side, and vinyl damage along...

You won't believe the grocery prices in this vintage Woolworths ad!

My reply is about the coin rounding up/down. when paying by credit card I had to stop the cashier from rounding because it’s irrelevant on the statement. Took awhile it seems, now it’s very rare. If I did pay by cash, it never ever went down, I can assure you.

Report reveals how Aussies adapt their spending habits amidst cost-of-living crunch

I’m still wearing 10 year old tops, bought from Millers or Best and Less. Why replace, when they get bobbly, shave the bobbles off with a lint shaver. Underwear will always be brand new! Other than that, at my age it’s comfort over chic. Still wearing a pair of suede Clark’s shoes bought...

    Old laundry troughs

Yes indeed! Mine was painted externally with a lovely 1930’s green, and the inside was lovely and smooth, not a rough bit in sight. Was very sad to leave it behind when we sold the home. Much too heavy to take lol

This photo of an Aussie suburb sparks discussions about the country's housing crisis

We were considered wacky when we bought a home in Blacktown, now they are worth millons. Moved further out, and again, these are worth millions. NO matter where you live, real estate will always catch up with you. And now I prefer the rolling hills of Victoria, thank you.

Eight charts on how Australia’s population is growing – and changing

If the Chinese and Indians desire to live here, then speak AUSTRALIAN/ENGLISH. because that’s how we get properly diagnosed at the doctors. I struggle to understand the head swaying Indians, and the mumbling Chinese. This is NOT a racist speech, but if you think that, so be it. It’s true facts.

New details revealed about the Westfield Bondi Junction killer

I’m in England now! And there’s been a law pushed through, implementing no racial slurs will be tolerated. If you do, it’s prison! The whites cannot, and I mean cannot say anything about any other coloured person. Yet these illegals, they can do awful things to us., and still stay in this...

Can Centrelink payment hikes boost music festival participation?

This site is for Seniors. I am such a being. I volunteer, I still work around home, I still have my health, and I hear many, many “youngsters“ who say they will never get a job, do they try, no way.
