    Tiramisu

Didn't your mothers give you egg flips when you were growing up. I had them, and I gave them to my kids, and they're living.

You won't believe how much this café charges for breakfast!

Why not find a park with a play area and everyone bring a plate, that's what we used to do. We never took the kids to a pub. If it is for Mother's day you need to be outside because you can never hear the conversation, the music is always too loud and there are too many distractions.

Discover the 'brilliant' Bunnings trick that will keep your bath clean!

Yep, they have been around forever, we had one we used to take with us every time we were moved. I was padded so you could sit on it and dry yourself when you got out of the shower. We gave it to my Godmother almost 20 years ago because we were coming home to our own house and we don't have a...

Costco vs ALDI: Which store offers you the best savings on your favourite groceries?

Costco is 10 minutes away from us and we are a family of two with two vehicles, one diesel and the other is petrol, so the membership fee we make back in no time we the fuel. And we also do a bulk buy every few months and freeze what we buy because it is cheaper for us that way to do things...

Can you spot this tiny detail that separates a fake $50 note from a real one?

Not really, there was someone caught out not long ago I seem to remember who got a fake out of the ATM and when they approach the bank to report it, the bank would not reimburse it because it was not legal tender.

You won't believe what this Aussie did after a neighbour's kid's irritating behaviour

I'm hearing we didn't do it in the 50's and 60's, our yards were much bigger then, even with my children in their mid 40's they had a good sized yard to play in. And if they weren't playing they would be at sport or some other recreation to keep them busy. The houses around the new estate the...

Is it safe to leave your dogs outside in winter? Outrage over a man's pets left in frigid conditions sparks debate!

I can tell you our Alaskan Malamute prefers to be on my bed all year round

You won't believe what this Aussie did after a neighbour's kid's irritating behaviour

We went through this problem every time we were posted to a new location, thankfully once we retired and moved back to our house most of the neighbours are around the same age. The only kids are grandchildren and they are only here on short breaks. Ah bliss.

Couple suffers upsetting downgrade during their luxury $7,300 Bali trip

I'm sorry but anyone who thinks they could have a luxury trip to Bali is beyond me. This why you have travel insurance and a good travel agent, one who is available when something goes wrong and they call the airlines and get things happening. And at our age make sure you use a reputable insurer.

Hurry! Pick up this amazing Kmart dupe before it sells out

Probably, I was dressed in baggy pants and a t-shirt one time when my son and grandson came over to take me out for lunch and my son's comment was "aren't you going to change out of your pjs". And when I was being lazy one morning and lounging around in Kmart one of those shoestring jumpsuit...

Hurry! Pick up this amazing Kmart dupe before it sells out

Anyone who does not shop at Kmart, and even then Kmart is getting up there with the rest of them.

Hurry! Pick up this amazing Kmart dupe before it sells out

What's wrong with wearing pjs, I did my washing the other day and found I had more pjs in the wash than going out clothes.

You wouldn't believe what this shopper found for sale at Coles!

I'm not going to call anyone names, but I do love it when a topic has a lively debate. Me personally, I cannot stand the smell of game meat, my son, however, raves about kangaroo and how much better it is for you to eat. I also would not eat all hooved animals, I like horses too much to even...

Abnormal rainfall in recent years seen to douse bushfire risk, experts say

We cannot get our council (Ipswich) to even consider backburning before the start of bushfire season. Todays temperature is supposed to be 30C, and they are running out of time to carry out any sort of management.

Mum demands compensation after shocking Kmart baking dish incident

You cant blame Kmart for the dish if you had been using it for over a year, we had the same thing happen with a dish my husband bought and he didn't even realise it was ceramic until it broke, and he says he still misses that dish. We also have Pyrex and corning ware, that are as old as the...
