A sour taste in Aussie’s mouths: Cadbury just tampered with beloved chocolate bar

I remember, in the 1960's, when Cherry Ripes were twice as big! They were originally wrapped in foil, with a paper sleeve. I loved the picture, on the wrapper, of the boy pinching cherries from the tree, and the owner, with his bulldog, ready to catch him!

Aussies are finding unbelievably cheap dishwashing tablets at Bunnings!

I have been using Australian Eucalyptus Company Dishwashing Powder, and Dishwashing Liquid. They both do a great job, using only a small amount, making it a very thrifty addition to my kitchen, as well as other Australian Eucalyptus Company products.

Swallow & Ariell's Sultana Luncheon biscuits

My parents had a mixed business in country Victoria in the 1950's. The Swallows biscuit truck delivered biscuits in metal tins. These were later returned to the factory to be refilled. Broken biscuits were a penny a bag, and what a treat that was!

    November Competition: Christmas Memories!

In the early sixties, I remember Christmas being so hot, that my Mum would precook the chicken, the night before, and we had it cold, with a salad. No Christmas pudding, too hot to light the wood stove, so we had red and green jelly with ice-cream. My dad was a fire spotter at a local lookout...

Why is lamb still expensive if sheep prices are at an all-time low? Discover the shocking reason!

As a child, in the 60's, lamb was quite cheap and a side of lamb was a regular purchase for the family. Since the prices have escalated, I haven't been able to afford lamb for quite a long time. I look forward to the price coming down, then I will eat lamb again!
