Avoid this common green bin error that could undermine your gardening efforts

It's your bin so why do you think your landlord is responsible for cleaning your bin? You can just as easily hose it out yourself if it worries you that much. I have lived here for 20 years & never washed my bin.

Aussie mum receives shocking fines after her dream holiday: 'It's very strange'

My email address is for personal use only. It is not for business, legal, etc. etc. notices. If you want me to get a bill, notice about something or anything else you MUST send me a snail mail notice. I don't read 95% of my emails as they are just a waste of my time.

Discover the Outrageous Detail on a Convenience Store Sign That Exposes an Unstoppable Aussie Trend!

There was nothing in the post about this surcharge being for using a card. It was the size of the drink bottle you bought. Another simple solution - buy 2 x 500ml bottles instead of a 1 litre. Same amount of drink without the surcharge.

Discover the Outrageous Detail on a Convenience Store Sign That Exposes an Unstoppable Aussie Trend!

I'm curious whether this includes cash payments as well as card? If I had to pay 25% more for a cold drink, I'd leave it is the store the same as I left a country service station when they refused to mark the price of their drinks & would only tell me the price at the checkout. I was really...

Mosquito invasion causes major safety concern in one state

For goodness sake, we have lived with mozzies all our lives. If they worry you that much you can get mozzie traps but you need to clean your yard of all still water wherever it may be. Then you get out the good old Aerogard & spray your exposed skin before going outside. But the most...

Major Aussie fashion brand enters voluntary administration

I do nearly all my clothing shopping at Millers so I will be in real trouble if they close.

Aussie councils roll out innovative solutions for one common mistake

One solution - put everything in the general garbage bin. I don't have the space in my kitchen to have multiple bins for sorting before taking rubbish outside to large wheelie bin so everything goes in one bin.

TGA’s reform set to reduce paracetamol pack sizes across Australia

Now is the time to stock up while we can still buy packs of 100 tabs. I already have a supply on hand but will definitely increase my stock as I need to take Panadol daily for pain so that I can do my housework & some gardening. Without them I would be confined to my chair for many hours a day.

Luxury fashion empire Harrolds crumbles with millions in debt

Like every other comment I've never heard of Harolds so guess that means they won't be missed.

Luxury fashion empire Harrolds crumbles with millions in debt

Their stuff is absolute rubbish. Not worth what you pay for it. Wears out very quickly. Buy good quality & you get years of wear thus getting good value for money.

Supermarket faces outrage over insufficient markdown on expiring product

It's fine to offer food to charities but then only the people on the coast benefit from this gift. Those who live in rural areas never see the fruit/veg/meat which has been given to charities. We benefit more from the produce being reduced in store so we can buy at a price we can afford.

Shocking Beach Photo Exposes Dangerous Act – You Won't Believe What Thousands Are Doing Wrong!

You can't charge these idiots for someone having to come to their rescue bc most of them have drowned already. I agree with the idea during floods when people drive into flood water & then someone needs to put their life at risk to rescue them.

'Americanising' Aussie Cafes? See How One Woman Exposed the Outrageous Trend Sweeping the Nation!

I will never tip. A good wage is paid to these people & I will not add to it. No one ever gave me a tip for caring for psychiatric patients or, later, typing medical reports for patients in a large hospital. If you tip staff in one industry, why not everyone?

Digital payment options expand as government phases out cheques by 2028

"To address this digital divide, Get Online Week, a national campaign by digital inclusion advocates Good Things Australia, will run from 14 to 20 October." Guess what?? Today is 20 October & this is the first I have heard of this. Apart from this obvious problem, here's another problem - if...

$97K light show sparks outrage among residents over spending priorities

This is not a gift to the King. It's really a spectacle for the people of Sydney - so, basically, they are the ones who receive the gift.

Local expresses outrage over council's 'eco-friendly' billing approach: 'The public was not consulted'

I don't throw my bills away. After about a year (I keep them that long in case of a dispute), I shred them & they become mulch on my garden. If I don't have these then I will have to buy mulch - just another unnecessary expense.

Local expresses outrage over council's 'eco-friendly' billing approach: 'The public was not consulted'

This is just another way for large companies to raise more revenue while we, the customers, pay more. If a company wants to make use of my email address to send their a/cs then they have to pay me for the use of my computer, cost of internet, electricity to run computer, printer/paper/ink so I...

Read the article again. You can still withdraw cash using a card in an ATM but you cannot withdraw using the cardless way.

Westpac axes cardless cash withdrawals from their ATMs nationwide

Maybe you should go back to the school whose money you were banking & learn how to read & comprehend what you have read. They are only stopping cardless withdrawals to protect customers from scammers.
