Here, There and Everywhere?
Bragging Rights

3 lads are bragging at school…..
1st boy says, "My Dad's the fastest man in the world."
"How do you know that?" the others ask
"Because he can fire an arrow and from his bow
and run and catch it!" he replies.
"That's nothing," says the 2nd boy. "My Dad can
fire a gun and run and catch the bullet!"
"That's nothing,” says the 3rd boy,
"My Dad works for the Council.
He doesn't finish work every afternoon until 5 o'clock
but he's home and in the house by 2.00 pm.”

Damn, I live in that Council district and all the “workers” keep the same hours 🤣🤣

Or they stand around thinking who will do what. Or one to watch traffic go by, one to drive the council truck, one to have his morning tea while watching the other two - or all three having morning tea which lasts through lunch time as well!!

One day they got to the job without their tools?
The foreman just told them to lean against
Each other while he went to fetch some?

We all did that when we were young lol

i was asked how many worked at the council, I replied "about half of them"

I actually can’t knock my local council because on Monday, we reported a problem with the footpath near our house. On Saturday we noticed that an elderly lady had tripped and fallen on the uneven footpath. This morning several council workers arrived to repair a sunken area of our nature strip, and to further inspect the the problem footpath, which is caused by a replacement Telstra pit being installed way too low, thus creating a tripping hazard. My husband was impressed with the repairs to our nature strip, and by their concern & bewilderment over the placement of the pit. Our council workers here seem to work fairly hard, it’s the councillors who need to spruce their ideas up, though our state government have announced a reduction of councillors in each municipality. It’s a shame they’re not working on reducing the number of councils.
