Fact of the day: Anglo-Zanzibar War is the shortest war in history​

On 27 August 1896, Britain and the Sultanate of Zanzibar went to war… and it was over before most people finished breakfast. Lasting just 38 to 45 minutes, the Anglo-Zanzibar War holds the record as the shortest war in history. Zanzibar suffered heavy losses, while Britain walked away almost untouched. Ofcourse Britain could not allow the Khalid to succeed, it would have meant losing the lucrative spice trade and the even bigger money earner, human trafficking/child trafficking. Will there ever be an end to these Demons that rule the world and eat our babies? I wonder.
