Good News Round-Up: Uplifting Stories You Might've Missed

It’s such a pleasure to be sharing this week’s dose of good news with you all.

In a world full of headlines that can feel heavy, here are eight recent feel-good stories from Australia and beyond that prove hope, heart, and humanity are alive and well. 💛

Shall we jump right in?

Retired Aussie Couple Opens Their Doors to Homeless Women

In Hobart, a retired couple has bought a former boarding house and is converting it into safe, low-cost housing for older women at risk of homelessness.

Named 'Blue Sky House,' the home will accommodate up to 10 women and offer not just shelter, but sisterhood. They hope to be ready by October, and, as the couple says, it’s about helping others 'lift themselves out of a dark place.'

What an inspiring way to give back!

I’ve had a rather tough day today so it was uplifting to be sitting here late at night reading some good news. I loved every story, but am full of admiration for the Hobart couple helping homeless women. I saw the story on our local news & thought what an amazing thing to do.
Thankyou SDC, I needed cheering up.

Thanks Deb. We visited Teds older brother who has frontal lobe scarring resulting in dementia like symptoms. It’s so sad as he’s deteriorating rather quickly, so it’s a bit hard to process. He gets rather excited when we visit, but it’s rather tiring as they live about 2.5 hours away. My best friend has dementia so it’s very difficult, but we’ll get through it. I’m just relaxing with a brandy & reading my many emails and SDC newsletters.

You deserve to relax after a tiring and stressful day.
Visiting family/friends who are suffering can really take it out of you.

Sleep well and I hope tomorrow will bring a better day. 💖
