I can still remember in Primary school lunch area, sitting next to a lad who peeled his bananas and ate the fruit. Then he took out some bread & butter sandwiches put the skins on them and ate the lot! 🫢
Reminded me of a bloke sitting next to me, on the train a few years ago. Took out an orange and ate it like an apple with the skin on...!!!

BTW, does anyone, but me, have a problem drinking orange juice, causing severe heartburn and reflux, but is okay to eat an orange?
And, NO, it's not psychological...!
I eventually found out a few years ago, orange juice is made WITH THE SKIN ON - hence the cause of reflux!
Have you tried squeezing oranges (sans skin😉) yourself and seeing how it goes. But remember juice without pulp is a sugar bomb!

That's how my friend eats oranges.
Possums are fussier. They eat the skin and leave the citrus fruit inside hanging.
These days, with less food available, they eat some of the fruit as well. It's ok, I don't need much.

My eldest sister had this problem. I didn't know the cause though.
