AGL scam

I just wanted you to know of an attempted scam regarding electricity.

I received a phone call from (02) 7235 1667. They said they were from AGL and they were speaking to me regarding my account.

They said they were calling to notify me of all possible discounts I was which I’m sure eligible.

I replied, that's not right!

She then said no, and that I hadn't updated my rate for sometime and proceeded to mention an address I hadn't lived at for over 3 years.
I interrupted and said that my account was at the best current rate available. I knew this wasn’t true as I had been on the phone less than a week before with AGL. She repeated what she said so I hung up and called AGL to report it. AGL confirmed my suspicions AND I asked it be passed on to their security team.

To steal from Hill Street Blues -Be careful out there!

Regards
