Cabbage White Butterfly​

A lot of people don't like these butterflies but I think they are beautiful..we have them in our garden all the time and they have never done any damage.

Are these the guys that produce the black caterpillars that I collect in my garden, they are verocious eaters of my palnts leaves!
 
Yes but it depends on what plants you have, in our garden the eat nectar from the flowers..
 
When I was a young child our next door neighbour used to pay us one penny to catch these butterflies so they didn't eat the cabbages in the vegie garden. We weren't very good at it!
