Hey members!

We’re back with another Sunday Classic, and this one’s got charm, nostalgia, and a whole lot of yodelling magic! 🎶💫

This week’s pick is 'I Remember You' by Frank Ifield, which was suggested to us by the lovely member @ShezzieD! Released in 1962, this heartfelt ballad soared to number one on the UK charts and made Ifield a household name with his unique blend of country croon and smooth yodel.

Did you know this song was originally written in 1941 and featured in a movie starring Dorothy Lamour? Frank’s version gave it new life two decades later, complete with that unforgettable vocal twist that became his signature.

This brings back memories of my dear old Mum, she loved Frank Ifield and played his records constantly.

Yes. What a great Aussie group. What a voice - Pee Wee Wilson. Great in their own weight, but they also supported many other artists of their time. Was listening to some early J O‘K the other day, and the back group was the Dellies.
