What is GIVIT Macca? Not a charity I’ve heard of, yet.
A national not-for-profit that partners directly with councils, recovery outreach teams, charities and community groups to connect needs with generous donors, ensuring that Australians experiencing hardship receive the essential goods and services they need, when they need them most.

What a worthwhile organisation! must check & see if they’re in Tasmania.

I don't really mind who gets the donations so long as 100% of it gets to where it will do the most good.

There is a charity that gets hay and transports it to the farmers to feed their stock. I know Farmers are doing it tough and this disaster is just another in a long line of troubles for them. Let's give them one less thing to worry about and help them feed their animals so that they can spend more time fixing up their farms and repairing water damage around the place.

I have good quality furniture, bedding and clothes that I would willingly donate, some new, if only I could get it there. I'm sure someone could make use of it.

VINNIES, they are always one of the first on the ground and help with most things and very few questions asked. Very reliable. All states take flood donations and direct it to the affected areas.

R.S.P.C.A. THEY GO TO DISASTER AFFECTED AREAS AND LOOK AFTER THE ANIMALS OF POEPLE WHO HAVE BEEN EVACUATED AND HAVEN TAKEN THEIR ANIMALS WITH THEM.THEY TAKE FOOD AND BEDDING AND EVEN HALTERS AND THINGS FOR HORSES AND ALSO STAY THERE AND LOOK AFTER THEM WHILE THE OWNERS ARE GETTING THE HELP THEY NEED.
Also, the most of these will be stock animals from the many farms in that area - thousands of animals!!!!!

SES or Salvos, both are amazing.

SES These are involved in rescuing people in floods and do it voluntarily without thought of the risk to their own lives.

SES are amazing through rescue but donations are going to be needed to get back into their house plus clothing and food so I'm saying Salvation Army or Vinnies
