Centrelink Scam

Hi everyone, I received this email this morning and wanted to warn our vulnerable community to be careful please, I did report it to scamwatch and Centrelink.

Is ‘Scanwatch’ proactive or reactive?

If I get any emails from banks or government agencies I ring them separately to check the the veracity?

technically they're not from banks or government agencies but scammer claiming to be them

That's exactly right, you can't be too careful these days can you

I rang centrelink to let them know about it and sent it to them and scamwatch.

That's how I knew it was and felt compelled to notify centrelink that it was going around and wanted to share it to the SDC community to warn them

Ok, I dont think that's necessary, not everyone especially some older seniors are in a position to be aware of these things.

Do you ever get an answer? Whenever I ring, no one answers the phone.
