Switch up your grocery trips with these alternative shopping trolleys!

The humble shopping trolley has been a trusty companion through countless aisles and checkout lines.

However, not every trolley is a smooth operator.

Several factors could make shoppers think twice about shopping trolleys, especially when placing fresh produce in them.

What if shoppers could take control of their grocery shopping experience?

It's time to change your shopping experience with these clever solutions that's making waves among savvy shoppers.

Kmart Portable Shopping Bag

Kmart introduced their portable shopping bag as an easy solution for shoppers across the country.

It's a marvel that combines the convenience of a shopping bag with the practicality of a trolley.

Priced at $30, the portable shopping bag is spacious enough to hold a generous grocery haul.

It also comes with a zip top to keep items secure while keeping ease of transport in mind.

Lastly, its dual functionality allows shoppers to pull it along using the large handle or carry the bag with two shorter handles.

The 'Nonna trolley' phenomenon

These 'Nonna trolleys' were named in honour of grandmothers and seniors who pioneered this trend.

What started as a practical solution for grandmothers has evolved into a fashionable and modern shopping accessory.

Shoppers can find basic versions of the Nonna trolley at The Reject Shop.

Fancier trolleys are also available at BCF, Victoria's Basement or online at Amazon.

Keep in mind that these Nonna trolleys have limited space and are best used for more frequent shopping trips.

SlideACart: The sleek alternative

For shoppers who appreciate innovation, SlideACart offers a stylish and practical solution.

Despite its size, the SlideACard fits neatly into car boots, eliminating the need for shopping bags.

These carts also come with adjustable height to suit shoppers' preferences and needs.

The SlideACart is also spacious enough for a week's worth of groceries, with extra space at the bottom for larger items.

However, the SlideACart requires some assembly and is pricier compared to other alternative shopping trolleys at $365.

Bunnings' Foldable Shopping Cart

Lastly, we have the foldable shopping cart, reminiscent of the ones used for beach outings.

Bunnings has the Viviendo 65L foldable cart with wheels ($63.64), which combines functionality with fun.

These carts fold and unfold with ease and have four wheels for easy manoeuvring.

Since the carts are made of hard plastic, larger items can be placed on top of the main section.

These carts are also more suitable for smaller shopping trips and are perfect for solo dwellers or small families.

So, is it time to bid farewell to dodgy supermarket trolleys?

Whether you opt for the more affordable find or invest in a fancier model, these alternatives could make your shopping experience more enjoyable and efficient.

I have a BCF shopping trolley and love it. I can now walk to the supermarket and buy heavy items place them in my trolley and walk back home. The trolley has a pocket for my phone, another for the water bottle an inside pocket for cold items and room for other goods as well. The trolley makes my shopping easier and I DON'T HAVE TO USE THE CAR. I balance a basket on the top of the trolley to place the items I am buying then load them into the trolley once they are paid for.

I bought a Trolley from Amazon for $140.00 +. It is a double-decker and the top lifts off, and it folds up. It has 4 lots of 2 wheels and rides high like a pram. Very stable and heavy items fit in the base. No more home delivery, and less than the yearly delivery fees. I no longer drive so this has been a godsend for me. Lucky you that you live that close to the shopping centre, but I'll give it a miss since I live a bit of a distance form my shopping centre
