These Near-Death Survivors Share Their Otherworldly Experiences - It Will Change Your Perspective on Everything!

Near-death experiences (NDEs) have long been a source of fascination and mystery, stirring questions about what lies beyond the veil of life as we know it. Individuals who have skirted the edges of mortality often return with stories that challenge our understanding of consciousness and existence. Here at the Seniors Discount Club, we've delved into the profound accounts of those who've faced the ultimate frontier and come back to tell the tale. Their experiences may just prompt you to rethink everything you thought you knew about life, death, and what might lie in between.

Imagine being thrust from the familiar confines of your body into an expansive void or feeling a supernova of consciousness that transcends time and space. These are not the musings of science fiction writers but the real-life recollections of individuals who have been clinically dead and subsequently revived. One person, a survivor of a harrowing car crash, recounted being 'knocked out' of their body and sent to a 'void,' only to return with a heightened sensory perception that allowed them to see minute details from great distances and travel instantaneously in their mind's eye.

Another individual described a sensation of being in multiple places at once, across different points in history, as if they were part of a universal network connecting all things. This profound sense of interconnectedness has been echoed by others who have experienced NDEs, suggesting that our individual lives may be part of a much larger, intricate tapestry.

For some, these experiences have led to a reevaluation of deeply held beliefs. A devout Christian, for instance, found their faith shaken after encountering an unexpected emptiness instead of the promised afterlife. This stark contrast between expectation and experience has left them questioning the very foundations of their spiritual convictions.

The impact of NDEs is not limited to the spiritual realm; it also extends to the scientific community, which continues to explore the enigmatic nature of consciousness and what happens at the moment of death. Some researchers have observed sparks of brain activity in dying patients well after breathing has ceased, while others have noted that the long-term psychological effects of NDEs can vary widely.

In a recent Reddit thread, a user described their NDE as the most defining moment of their life, a sentiment that resonates with many who have undergone similar experiences. The intensity of their visions was such that they eventually sought relief, finding that mere thought was enough to bring them to an end.

These stories are not isolated incidents but part of a growing body of anecdotal evidence that suggests there is much we have yet to understand about the threshold between life and death. From a Hindu woman who claimed to have seen deities and brilliant light to a young boy who believed he spent months among silvery white clouds, the variety of NDEs is as diverse as the individuals who experience them.

Even those who previously held no belief in an afterlife, like Jose Hernandez from Canada, have had their worldviews turned upside down. After a near-fatal car crash, Hernandez's atheistic stance was challenged by an otherworldly journey that left him convinced of a greater cosmic design.

Amber Cavanagh's experience of suffering two strokes and hovering between life and death brought her to what she described as the 'meeting point' of heaven. She encountered guides and loved ones, communicating telepathically in a realm where love was the prevailing force.

Lynn Mildner from the UK also spoke of a 'beautiful white light' and conversations with deceased relatives, reinforcing the notion that NDEs often involve reunions with those who have passed on before us.

These deeply personal accounts share common themes of transcendence, transformation, and the reassessment of life's priorities. They remind us that our understanding of life's final passage is still incomplete and that the experiences of those who have returned from the brink can offer valuable insights into the mysteries of existence.
Key Takeaways

When the heart stops the other organs do not stop at that time ,some continue for a while after.
My Daughter took me to a meeting of Academics studying this subject at Adelaide Uni.
Long story short, I came away with the notion that your brain fades slowly after you expire.
Patients who are revived after a death experience recount these "dreams" or "memories" of the brain as it is slowly dying, before being revived.
With their research collated, the researchers believe there is no life after death,
But some will not place a bet on the findings.
This was the findings of a group of uni professors and researchers, doctors etc.
This was a most interesting meeting, around 4years ago.

I don't believe in any of the so-called Religion afterlife, as all the info were written by man many years after to so called facts. Think "Monkey Whispers. Remember when man re-tells a story or an account of something the truth gets lost, and their perception gets added. To me these books are a good source of history of what might have happened. But in all of them the naughty gets punished and the so called good get rewarded. To me these stories are just power hungry people who want to control the masses.

I beg your pardon? The intro pointer says "What happens after death? Survivors reveal ... "
I think you'd better have another look at that head. Either that, or get some of your writers to look up the meaning of a couple of the words in your Funk and Wagnalls.

A near-death experience is just that, almost dead, and the brain can and does do weird and wonderful things at these times. Having experienced this after a significant motorbike accident (not my fault). I saw terrific light images and memories of how life could have been if I had taken different turns. Whilst I was in a deep sleep, not a comma, my wife noted that I was moving & making sounds, nothing she could interpret. I have limited memories of what I went through and have lost some memories of my past

Don't get me started🤯 Near death is a common state of every living person. Death is a state of non-revival. You're either dead or alive. These Americanisms plague our lives, ‘No I in team’ etc. My favourite is ‘near-miss’, if you nearly miss something you hit it, simple.

Key Takeaways =nothing unusual about hallucinations at all. Anything does not exist unless of course you are superstitious and anti Christian which is obvious here

None of these recollections are from people who are dead, they are from people who almost died.
And their reported experiences vary from vivid activity to nothing at all.
So I find it impossible to draw any sort of conclusion about an afterlife from that.

But how do you survive death and then let us know what the pearly gates look like?

I think that any kind of an afterlife is a belief predominantly based on religion….a faith, and it’s comforting to believe that you will be with loved ones again, be with your pets again and want for nothing….it’s also comforting to believe that all the bad and evil will get their just deserts and suffer abominations for eternity……However if proof is required, then that will only happen when you die because it can never be proven otherwise…that’s the nature of belief, of faith. I know there are innumerable stories that have been told by those who have had a NEAR death experience and I find it fascinating reading about people’s different experiences……At the end of the day though, scientists won’t find any tangible evidence of what happens to us after we die, other than that our bodies perish one way or another…..

I Was a young 7 year old orphan boy, who took his first solo adventure outside the confinds of the enclosure of the orphanage. An adventure that ended with me running under a moving truck,. The year was 1948, I went under the rear wheels and was severly injerd, with head injury and crushed left foot. I was thrown back an stuck my head,to become uncontous. I went into a state of falling but floating, I was in a brightly lit funnel but moving up to the light, the sensation was calm, as I got towards top of the funnel, a voice spoke to me, " Go back, it is not your time"!! And I began to fall and because conscious , and was in an ambulance on the way to hospital. I never forgot this exsperiance and although I have carried a deformed foot,I have reached the age of 82 with no illnesses or problems in health. You never forget but remain greatful.

It’s great that you managed to evade death as a 7 year old to then have good health all your life, I hope you’ve been happy as well….

As a young woman in the 1980s, living back then in Poland, I was involved in a serious car accident. I was in the front, in the passenger seat, next to my friend Halina.
It was an autumn, snowing and rain.
We're driving in Cracow to meet another friend. It was very busy, lot of cars heading in the same direction. The road was very slippery. As we're following this van, it optruptly stopped. To avoid direct collision, Halina used the car's brakes. And...
It was a big mistake. Normally, you would only maneuvre the car with the steering wheel to stabilise it and to turn it towards the ege of the road, out of the traffic... Everything happened so fast. The car flew over the small island, into the oposide side of the road and incoming traffic. We hit hard the side of a huge track. Our car then was dragged by that track till it stopped. We both must lost our consciousness...
I was weightless, and like flying in the air over the accident side. I saw our car smashed, and us two laying in it and not moving. Halina's face was covered in blood. The front windscreen was also missing. It was heavingly snowing.
Then, I saw at front of me like a white cinema screen. I saw on it the whole of my life's pictures (since the childhood*) passing very fast. Those were good and bad memories. Then, I saw my little girl Joanna*crying and calling me 'mama where are you?' Then, those pictures stopped rapidly, and this calming, beautiful voice in within told me to not to be afraid and that all is OK. This huge White Light' appeared. It was so strong, that I had to close/ cover with hand my eyes for a moment as I couldn't see.
Then, I realised that it must be the God's Voice. The love, the peace that I felt at that moment it was undescribable. I didn't feel any pain, everything seemed to be and feel alright.
I was in the awe. I didn’t see Him, but we're communicating, I would say now by telephaty. I asked Him if I were in Heaven, and if I was dead. He confirmed telepathically again. I was happy to be back Home. But then, I saw my little girl again crying. 'God, please, let me go back to my little daughter. She needs me.'
I didn't see any relatives or friends when up there. Maybe, I wasn't long enough? I woke up in the car, cold and with snow coming through the front windscreen, next to Halina. I realised that she was in a bad state. She was profoundly bleeding from her mouth, nose and ears. I was in a bit better position, with only broken finger, lost tooth, and bruising all over. I heard Ambos and Police sirens. Ambos took us both to hospital. After all the check ups, they let me go, but Halina had to stay. Now I live for nearly 40 years in Australia. I never told anyone about my NDE. As I am getting older, I decided to write about my NDE. And, yes, I do believe in 'Life After Death'. I recieved many, many signs from my only daughter- Joanna* ( R.I.P.) Since that dreadful night of 27.12.2005, when at the age of 26yo she was murdered by DV, by her schizophrenic boyfriend, who bashed her to death. No, he wasn't charged for the murder. Under the Mental Health Tribunal verdict, he was insane. They locked him up for life in a Mental Institution, to hopely never to be relised. I do believe though, that One Day I'll meet my 'Baby in Heaven', all my Rellies and Friends. There's Life After Death'. Amen.

Given the overwhelming evidence, the best scientific explanation for NDEs is that they are hallucinations caused by a dying or stressed brain:

  • Oxygen deprivation (hypoxia): Leads to tunnel vision and bright lights.
  • Endorphin & serotonin surges: Create euphoria and peacefulness.
  • Temporal lobe activity: Can generate life reviews and mystical experiences.
  • Neurotransmitter activity (NMDA receptors): Mimics effects seen with psychedelic drugs.

Rather than consciousness leaving the body, the brain is firing on all cylinders before shutting down.
Despite decades of research, there is no peer-reviewed scientific evidence that NDEs provide proof of an afterlife.

  • Every aspect of the NDE can be explained by neurophysiology and psychology.
  • No verified out-of-body observations have been recorded.
  • The AWARE studies failed to show that consciousness exists outside the brain.
  • Cultural differences in NDE reports suggest the experiences are subjective rather than universal.

When I was around 7 or 8 I was knocked off a bike and hit the rear of my head so hard I was in blackness falling but not falling and a strange sound like the buzz in our ears only louder. No lights only darkness falling in nothing. I don't know how long I was in that state. might of been less then a second or some seconds and woke up crying. I got a few stitches and wondered for many years if that hit affected me until a GP did some tests and a brain scan showed no damage.
