FYI - you can use bicarb soda for as an Interior Dehumidifier in your wardrobe of clothes...>

Absolutely, bicarbonate of soda is a handy and natural option for dehumidifying wardrobes and protecting your clothes from moisture-related issues like mold or musty odors. Here's how you can make it work:

Bi Carbonate Soda | 500g @$2.45

  1. Choose a container: Use a small, breathable container, jar, or even a cloth bag.
  2. Add bicarb soda: Fill the container with about a cup of bicarb soda.
  3. Optional: Add essential oil: If you'd like a light fragrance in your wardrobe, mix in a few drops of your favourite essential oil with the bicarb soda before placing it in the container.
  4. Make it breathable: If you're using a jar, poke holes in the lid. For containers, leave them open. Alternatively, breathable bags work just as well.
  5. Place strategically: Put the container or bag in your wardrobe, ideally in a corner or on a shelf where it won't spill but can still absorb moisture effectively.
  6. Refresh regularly: Once the bicarb soda has absorbed its capacity (it’ll clump up), replace it with fresh bicarb soda every 2-4 weeks.

If you buy the containers, just reuse them with bi-carb, or you can buy the mix for them in bulk, I believe from a hardware, maybe.
You can also keep a lettuce crisp for up to six weeks in the fridge with a system I learnt well over 40 years ago and it works on all types that have had the roots cut off. Because if the roots are attached you only need to have the roots dangling in water to keep them fresh. Wrap the lettuce tightly in paper towel, several layers and then place into a freezer bag, get the air out, just twist it, its not rocket science, and place it in the crisper. If you are making sandwiches and salads every day or so you will use it up fast. But for the times when you have say two cos hearts, you may need to take off a couple of outer leaves and slice a bit off the root.
