Monkey attacks and sky-high medical bills: Here’s the secret to full protection on your next trip!

Travel is one of life’s greatest joys. Whether it’s exploring the vibrant streets of Bangkok, relaxing on a pristine beach in Vanuatu, or simply visiting family interstate, the thrill of new experiences and cherished memories is unmatched.

But as any seasoned traveller will tell you, the unexpected can happen – and when it does, it pays to be prepared*.

From minor inconveniences like lost luggage to major emergencies such as medical evacuations, travel mishaps can turn your dream holiday into a logistical and financial nightmare.

That’s where travel insurance* comes in, and Wise and Silent (WAS) Insurance is here to ensure you’re covered* for life’s unpredictable moments. Plus, they’re offering you an exclusive discount code.

Why travel insurance is a must-have

Imagine this: you’re trekking through a lush jungle in Bali when a curious monkey decides to take a bite out of your arm.

Or perhaps you’re enjoying a ski trip in New Zealand and take a tumble, resulting in multiple broken bones.

These scenarios might sound far-fetched, but they’re real-life examples of claims handled by Wise and Silent*.

In fact, the largest claim processed by WAS last year was a jaw-dropping $100,000 for a medical emergency* that required an air ambulance.

And it’s not just the big-ticket incidents – WAS has also helped countless travellers* with more common issues such as lost or stolen luggage*, flight disruptions*, and unexpected cancellations*.

According to Wise and Silent*, 26% of all claims last year came from Indonesia, with other high-claim destinations including Thailand, Vanuatu, and even Australia.

This highlights an important truth: no matter where you’re headed, travel insurance is essential*.

Mishaps can happen anywhere, whether you’re exploring a tropical paradise or staying closer to home.

Travel chaos isn’t limited to injuries or lost belongings.

Remember the 2024 CrowdStrike outage that disrupted global flights? Or the countless booking mistakes caused by expired passports or incorrect travel dates?

While not all of these events are covered by insurance, they serve as a reminder to double-check your documents and keep your travel information handy.

Why choose Wise and Silent?

Very hard to trust any insurancd company these days when they are more than happy to take our premium excessive dollars but make it near impossible to extract money from them when there's a mishap & we need to make a claim, even when you the customer are in the right (as I found out when flights were delayed due to ash cloud in Bali a few years ago- filled out the well known company's stinkin' 11 page claim form, which they kept ignoring totally until I'd ring to ask why i hadn't received payment to which they'd reply that a question wasn't answered or some other stupid excuse to ignore me- this kept happenimg until I posted a review about that travel insurance company on productsreview.com.au to which surprise surprise they rang me an hour later offering to pay my claim (tho short $100), finally got my money but it was worse than extracting teeth!
These days I avoid travel insurance like the plague as they are just rogues like all insurance companies! :(
