Undeclared ingredient sparks urgent recall of a popular sauce—were you affected?

Food recalls are always a cause for concern, especially when they involve unexpected health risks.

When a common household staple is suddenly deemed unsafe, it raises serious questions about food safety and labelling practices.

Now, a popular cooking sauce sold nationwide is being urgently pulled from shelves over a hidden ingredient that could put some consumers at risk.

A popular stovetop simmer sauce was recalled from supermarkets nationwide due to health concerns.

Mars Australia Pty Ltd announced the recall of its MasterFoods Creamy Chicken And Mushroom Cooking Sauce (490g) after discovering an undeclared allergen.

Food Standards Australia New Zealand confirmed that the product contained egg, which was not listed on the label.
