This super simple trick was shared by a TikTok user, Nicole (@longlashqueen), who discovered a method of folding hoodies that's so effective, it's been viewed nearly three million times. Nicole, a mum-of-three, was overjoyed to find a way to make her hoodies fit neatly into drawers and shelves, and we think you'll be just as thrilled.


Here's how it works: Lay your hoodie out flat and smooth. Fold the bottom half up twice, then fold in one sleeve, smoothing it down. Repeat with the other sleeve. Now, here's the clever part – take the hood and stretch it around the folded hoodie, transforming it into a neat, compact parcel that's perfect for storing.



We put this hack to the test with our hooded blankets, and it worked like a charm for some of the smaller versions on the market, such as the children's Cotton On Snuggets. These oversized fleece jumpers folded down to a third of their original size, allowing for two Snuggets to fit neatly into one side of a drawer. It's likely that other small versions of the Oodie, like the children's style from Kmart, will also benefit from this space-saving technique.

However, it's worth noting that this hack may not work as well on the adult-sized Oodies, which are much larger and thicker. One mum-of-three, who owns four Oodies, lamented that while she loves the warmth they provide, they're always 'just floating around' the house. She tried the folding hack, but unfortunately, it didn't quite do the trick for the adult sizes.
