Jon, the last 2 or 3 days when I have attempted to record my score I get a message saying I can't as my name has been taken ????? Have I been cloned or is there a glitch in the system?

I travelled a similar route, but by age 79 with an ailing wife I opted for the village, we are now 86 & 90 and I'm her full time carer, with package help, and feel I made the right choice at the right time.

Not all are created equal, the so called life style villages are the worst for rip offs, although most are well run and have great facilities. If you are alone, and the village progresses to aged care, then once gone who cares? The village I have lived in for the past 11 years is self managed...

Maybe they don't need them, possibly very big mattresses or safe deposit boxes....

Never, ever, involve the Public Trustee (an oxymoron if there ever was one) in ANYTHING!

In my travelling days we always found it too expensive to holiday anywhere in the Whitsunday's. It was cheaper to go to Fiji (twice) Cook Islands, even Singapore and Penang, even New Zealand! That also included the airfares. Holiday in Oz get real folks...

I once had a camel ride in Broome, it was the most painful experience I have ever experienced, my legs were never designed to stretch that far! That sunset ride destroyed the next three days of my holiday! Incidentally my wife loved it.

I also heard that the same lady commented that they "also bury you at sea if you die" saving funeral expenses.

Infrastructure, guards, cooks, food, admin staff and as they are private.. PROFIT!
