'Cash mandate' that might not mandate much: What Australia's new rules really mean for your wallet

Who says it is a credit card? Many people use EFTPOS cards or debit cards that use the money in your account and not a line of credit. I feel much safer using cards than carrying cash these days.

'Cash mandate' that might not mandate much: What Australia's new rules really mean for your wallet

Yes, that is the reason they ask what the large amount is for, so that people can avoid being the victims of scammers. There was a report recently of a man being asked to show his bank the photos of the renovations he wanted to take out progress payments for, as there had been a spate of people...

'Cash mandate' that might not mandate much: What Australia's new rules really mean for your wallet

Fortunately, those vile hatemongers can NEVER be in government. We have a system (the Westminster system) that prevents idiots like them ever being in power as there is no way their parties would ever win the 76 seats needed to be in government. LOL One Nation can't even win one seat! Yep, they...

'Cash mandate' that might not mandate much: What Australia's new rules really mean for your wallet

It doesn't suit their agenda to tell the truth about the fees charged for card use. They are, as you pointed out, cents in a month, not dollars. I can't believe what conspiracy theorists these people are!

The Harris Farm pricing puzzle that's got shoppers talking: Fair deal or clever marketing?

Oh dear, are people really not understanding it? The "special" price is $5.00 for two punnets (or $2.50 each) ... how do we know the punnets aren't normally $3.00 each?

LOL we just had an election a mere few months ago!

Owning a pet just got more expensive—are you prepared?

What a load of sensationalised and unmitigated garbage! Are the people writing these articles deliberately trying to confuse people and lie about what is happening? The ONLY part of the registration fee that is changing is the government tax component. Currently, it is $4.64 per annum and it...

'I'm home' note that Australia Post completely ignored—and why it happens more than you think

I feel the same way. If a company states on their website that they use Couriers Please, or Aramex, I don't buy from them and I tell them why. Of course, it is their prerogative to use whoever they wish to, just as it is mine to refuse to trust my parcels to those companies.

'I'm home' note that Australia Post completely ignored—and why it happens more than you think

Even if you have a doorbell, couriers don't ring it ... I know from experience. I am lucky that the current AP postie and delivery courier on my route are wonderful, but I have had shocking experiences with other couriers. I have had parcels tossed at my front door from feet away (and items have...

Fuel running low: Could Australia shut down within 30 days?

No it hasn't thankfully ... those sad bunch of losers are never going to be in government luckily!

Fuel running low: Could Australia shut down within 30 days?

Imbecilic comment and unmitigated lies ... just goes to show your total ignorance when it comes to not just politics, but the Australian Electoral Commission and the rules surrounding voting.

Are you next? Controversial rent advice sparks outrage as rising rents hit hard across cities

You are correct, but people love to blame immigration because they haven't researched what is really one of the biggest problems when it comes to affordable housing. There are allegedly 10.1% (1,043,776 homes) of Australia’s 10,318,997 private dwellings that are unoccupied. Homes are being...

ALDI's delivery revolution arrives: Your budget groceries now come to your door

What a privileged whinger! It is NOT "crap" for those who are housebound and who do NOT have family or friends to shop for them. Instead of being so negative, try being grateful that you are NOT in a position where you need to rely on these services. So "ponder that one", poppet!
