I read a very interesting comment by an overseas visitor. She said the signs say "Swim between the flags". But she couldn't swim so stayed outside the flags. She thought only swimmers should be between the flags. Because that is what the signs say! Makes sense to me. Maybe the signs should read...

When the Empire Games were held in Perth in 1962, I watched Dawn swim. I then went poolside to congratulate her and get her autograph. She was lovely and very gracious to a young girl.

I live in WA and my local Amcal Chemist collects the blister packs too.
