Are supermarkets charging too much? New rules could change that

I know that prices are gettng worse. However, just blaming the supermarkets is wrong. Look at the figures, they have a turnover of over 30 billion, yet their profit is just 1.5 billion, about 5%, about what a home loan costs. Now what do they do with that profit? Support super funds, community...

When getting your mail costs more than a holiday: One man's $1540 Australia Post nightmare

I haven't had a similar experience, but wonder about mail being redirected from Croydon to Eildon, that's about an hour and a half round trip, (from memory). Sad if you want to check your mail daily.

Could slower streets save lives? The push for 30km/h zones gains momentum

I think that the root problem is a lack of responsibility and obeying the rules. For ages now kids have not been disciplined, and never learned responsibility. They think rules are just for others. Any "punishment" is very minimal, look at home invasions, They get a slap across the wrist and are...

Let kids be kids, but when should parents draw the line?

No! Unfortunately kids, these days, are not taught discipline. You technically aren't even allowed to say NO to them.

Costco's confusing new checkout rules leave shoppers scratching their heads

A simple solution, just have people doing the check out, not self. Personally I don't use the self checkout, as the machines are unfriendly, they don't have conversations with you.

Opposition leader signals Centrelink cuts! Here’s what they don't want you to know

You've got me started. Firstly there are several types of pension, focusing on just the aged pension and creating fear of it being cut is frivolous. You have aged pensions, supposedly fpr older people, who have worked all their lives You have job seeker (ha ha, more like no job seeking) NDIS...

Sudden shift turns premium laptops into outdated tech, sparking concerns for owners' wallets

As others have said, it's not just Apple. Windows has always had a function, to store temporary files. I think of them as little notes you would write to yourself, whilst working on something. They build up. Now a program runs and has to go through this pile of notes, to see what it has done in...
