I don't mind paying to send letters but the charges for packages are exorbitant.

Years ago they used to make melt-in-the=mouth mints. I don't know what they were called. They looked similar to cool mints but they were not shiny or hard. I wish they would bring them back.

I removed the dowels in mine and use them as ordinary shopping bags.

I still make Mock chow mein from the Nursing Mother' 'Association of Australia's cookbook. I put extra cabbage and an extra envelope of chicken noodle soup, extra vegs -beans, carrots etc. and make a huge pot. freezes well and is quite filling. Can serve it with plain rice or pasta if desired.

I agree. It isn't knowledge that causes experimentation, its ignorance and curiosity. However, I have not seen the book so cannot comment on it specifically

i think a lot of banks have these charges. Often we're not aware of them until we need the service

I agree. Home grown vegetables and fruit are wonderful, but more expensive than buying from a supermarket.
