Australia’s emissions are not as bad as many other countries but per capital we rate very high

I was once told to place an empty ice cream container or similar under a roof drip. It catches the water & prevents it coming through the ceiling. It can be emptied regularly or if you live in a low rainfall area the water evaporates before the next rain.

Rubbish. It’s outright greed on the part of the company.

I am very elderly and I remember going to the butcher before school every morning & buying among other cuts, mutton (that’s what we ate in the 1930s) loin chops. They cost 6d for five!

Tweed Shire Council does a pretty good job on most things. Potholes are a problem of course as are Developers.

Different items require different way of recycling. We in the Tweed Shire have three bins, green, yellow & red. The green bin weekly takes our garden waste & kitchen & food waste. This is converted by council into compost which can then be used by council & residents. I freeze some food...

I draw the line at “cookies” & refuse to buy them, plastic covers it nit. I am Australian & I eat biscuits, patty cakes & scones. Not cookies, cup cakes or what Americans call scones - biscuits!

The September & March pension adjustment is not necessarily a rise. It could be the opposite. Depends on the criteria used to estimate the pension.
