This has been the procedure for many years. I worked in Townsville for Ansett for 32 years. When we met international arrivals in the 80`s and 90`s as soon as the cabin crew unlocked the door the primary industry guys sprayed the cabin.

I have had good experiences with booking.com. Even when I had to cancel one night of a 4 night stay they helped me navigate that with the hotel. Even though I’ve rarely used it I find their “free cancellation policy gives peace of mind. Personally I wouldn’t use any other online booking company.

I have both and and usually take both wit me. I also have a copy of my letter from my doctor which over 75’s. must carry in Qld. However, not sure if I’m stopped by the police if they would accept it. I guess it’s a habit taking my wallet but I don’t care what others say.
