    Oh yum! I didn't have a corner store nearby, as 45 min drive where I lived with my family. However, Fri afternoons my Mum would sometimes buy a bag at one of the many corner stores after she completed her weekly shopping. I would get a lift with other school kids into town with the school...

    Lunchtime favourites

    Loved an orange flavoured sunny boy st swimming lessons on a hot sunny day. Also an orange freeze at local milkbar. A tall glass of orange crushed ice.. lovely!

    Flask with cup

    Yes, I do reemember having frozen cordial sometimes. Mainly end of week sports days playing softball out on the field in the heat...not fun! Well, the sport was fun, but not the hot afternoon! Had to be careful with lid as sometimes leaked in school case if accidentally left lid off!

    Yes, loved playing with plasticene at school,and my Mum bought some for me to play with at home. Great memories of sitting with Mum making snakes, snails and baskets with eggs.Great fun!

    Yes, enjoyed using sprinker as a kid on a hot Summer's day in Northern NSW. Heaps of fun, but had to quickly turn it off when my Dad came home...not allowed to waste water he said! I think he knew though!

    Yes, ding dong Avon calling...makes me chuckle when a lady from Pre school also was an Avon lady, but as she had a tribe of kids. Hubby would help out sometimes. He would ring the bell and say "Avon calling" in a deep voice tattoos and all! Oh yes, soap on a rope too! So many lovely bottles.

    Avon ladies

    Yes, my Mum was an Avon lady back in 1969, when I was 8 yrs old. Loved the perfume samples. Fave fragrance was Occur! Loved Peanuts, Snoopy, Charlie Brown ect soap dishes and shampoo. In later years fave purchase was jewellery and lipsticks. Avon was great!

    Yes, fond memories enjoying a cold drink and sandwiches with my Mum. We had a frozen drink called orange freeze. Later on enjoyed hanging out with friends before a movie, with either a milkshake (yes in metal container) or lunch and ice cream in my early 20's. Country town NSW run by Greeks...
