I learnt to drive when automatic's were the rare ones. It's possible to drive an auto in manual mode for a sportier experience. However you have to know at what speed to change up or down.

Doctors get paid per number of patients they see up to their daily limit. I don't think it's necessary to make a 5 minute appointment just to get a repeat prescription.
If you don't ask, you don't get. No utility company will offer a better deal and lose money. Same with health and other insurance companies. You just have to shop around.
