It’s the only roadside stopping point with a caravan park, a hotel/motel, a licensed restaurant, roadhouse and general store. It’s a must stop for most tourists to restock for the next leg, usually onto Coober Pedy.

A beautiful friendly town on the Murray River. Two great pubs with excellent food on offer. A very interesting antique store and a top bakery to boot. There’s a beautiful lawned area with plenty of shade if a picnic is on offer. I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve visited!
