Two popular snack products are being urgently recalled from Woolworths and IGA supermarkets nationwide due to concerns they could cause food poisoning.
Manassen Foods Australia Pty Ltd directed an extensive recall of two Good To Go snack varieties this week.
The deli buys were being sold at various grocery stores throughout NSW, Queensland, Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia.
The recalled products are:

Food Standards Australia warned customers not to eat the mentioned products, saying: “The recall is due to microbial – listeria monocytogenes – contamination. Food products contaminated with (listeria monocytogenes) may cause illness.”
“Listeria monocytogenes may cause illness in pregnant women and their unborn babies, the elderly and people with low immune systems.”
“Consumers should not eat these products. Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice. Customers should return the products to the place of purchase for a full refund.”
Listeria infection (or Listeriosis) could cause flu-like symptoms such as fever, chills, muscle aches, diarrhea, or upset stomach. Victims may also suffer from headaches, confusion, stiff neck, and a loss of balance.
It is most commonly caused by eating improperly processed meats and unpasteurised milk products.
Beware of these two snacks, folks! Even though the illness is usually mild, it’s better to be safe than sorry.
Don’t worry if you already purchased a few; the stores will be more than willing to give you a full refund.
