For our members out there who are beauty and body care product enthusiasts, you've probably already heard of the popular Almond Shower Oil from the French brand L'Occitane. It's been around for quite a while already, but it still remains amongst the best buys in their wide range of shower goods.
Many loyal customers swear by the product because it really delivers when it comes to cleansing and moisturising their skin.
The shower oil is also easy to rinse off, and as a bonus, it leaves behind a pleasant almond aroma that will linger on your body (and in your bathroom) for hours after you've stepped out of the shower!
This amazing body care product does have one major drawback, though: it's pricey! It retails for $39 for a 250 mL bottle, which is simply out of most people's price range.
Luckily for us, though, our fellow beauty enthusiasts on social media have discovered the 'perfect dupe' for L'Occitane's Almond Shower Oil that is way more affordable than the original!

Introducing, Woolworths' Thanks to Nature Nourish Sweet Almond Oil which is said to be made from similar ingredients to the French brand's version. It's also vegan-friendly, cruelty-free, and free from harmful ingredients such as parabens, SLS, SLES, and EDTA.
Its regular price is $20 at the supermarket, but here comes the best part – starting September 28 (Wednesday) until October 4 (Tuesday), it goes on special and will be available for a discounted price of only $10! How good is that?
For every 15 seconds, a bottle of L'Occitane's famous almond shower oil is being sold somewhere in the world, so it's not surprising that Aussies have been rushing to get their hands on the cheaper alternative from Woolies.
But is it as good as the original, though? Let's hear from some of the customers who have bought it.
In a post on social media, one woman wrote: 'OMG, it smells the same… I'm sold! Going to see if my Woolies still stocks it,' with a second user joining the conversation and adding, 'I finally found a dupe for the L'Occitane almond shower oil. This is normally $20, picked it up yesterday for $12; it's great!'
Others went on to say that the budget dupe also delivers when it comes to hydrating their skin. 'Feels very delicious and nourishing,' a third user wrote in the comments, with a fourth chiming in and saying, 'My skin feels so soft and silky. It has a light almond smell but is not too overpowering. A lovely light body oil wash!'
But, much like any beauty product dupe, not everyone is impressed. Others said the dupe performs way behind the original, and some admitted they still prefer L'Occitane's original version.
'Nothing beats L'Occitane. It lasts almost all day. I get more compliments than from any other brand,' said one commenter. A second added: 'L'Occitane stuff is really high quality and with really beautiful strong fragrances. Probably best to get the real thing.'
