When living in Darwin in the 80's & 90's the good old Tree frog often scared the daylights out of folk. In Northern Australia it is not uncommon to have your laundry out in the garage or carport, mine was in the carport next to the back door. I came home about 10.30 pm one night after working as a waitress and didn't bother to turn on the lights, put my hand out to grab the screen door and hit something Cold, wet and slimy. I think my scream was heard a couple of blocks away.

Next thing i knew a couple of big Islander/Maori looking guys came charging out of the unit across asking if I was okay, ready to take on trouble. Once I stopped shaking and turned on the lights there were 2 green frogs - one on the Screen door the other on the edge of the Laundry tub wondering what all the fuss was about.

While looking back its funny but at the time I think I shook for a couple of hours. At least I wasn't kissed by a frog while on the loo like a couple of friends
