Sound bar

Hello, I wonder if anyone can advise me on how these soundbars work?
I have a hearing problem and often cannot understand what is being said on TV and I think if I buy a sound bar, I can have a speaker close to where I am sitting.
I have an older model tv, so I don't know if it will work with that, also, I have to use a set-top box to watch the tv.
Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.

Hello, @countryman ! I'm not entirely sure if old tv models can connect to devices via Bluetooth... But that's how the soundbar works, I believe.

However, the description states that you can also connect the speakers through: RCA, HDMI ARC, Optical Audio, and 3.5mm AUX jack.

If your tv has any of those, you're good to go!

Hello Sethia, Thank You for your helpful reply to my question on soundbars.
My tv does have RCA jacks, as I use them to plug in my VCR and watch my old video tapes, so it looks as if I can use a sound bar with my tv.
thanks again for the prompt reply and help.

No problem at all! I'm glad I can help 😁 Wishing the soundbar provides you with a better experience watching movies!
